the prices are listed on his site. I understand that. Haha. I was wondering if he charged you extra for tweaking his set patterns... EDIT: And also, I don't see his shipping costs anywhere.

I just found a post on instagram on a pair of Sage 25.oz Winter-Beast jeans. link The construction and materials look really good. I wonder how they the compare to 25.oz denim from Samurai or Ironheart? Do you think actual denim material is the same? I cannot find these Winter beasts on the sage website? It could have been a limited run I suppose?

It could have been a limited run I suppose? Those look great especially the mountain arcs, double rear loops and pocket bags. I wonder if they made a mistake on the description. They say "- Unsanforized". However, there appears to be no fit difference on the pre and post soak pics. Doesn't seem possible if they actually were unsanforized. If they are 25 oz unsanforized, I bet they tighten up to about 27 oz. Also, why are they being downvoted on imgur? Edit: maybe they are being downvoted because the jeans don't have hidden rivets or sewn in belt loops. That's probably it. I'd downvote them too for missing those details

I wonder if there are other companies in Indonesia making lots of 21 oz + jeans and not exporting them in any volume. So we don't know about them. Just like Iron Heart before Giles came along. IH didn't care about selling outside Japan until a Westerner convinced them to. Perhaps Sage, Old Blue, etc might be similar.

seth check out SoSo clothing. I have a pair of the 21 oz in the selvedge classic fit and love them. They have a kichstarter campaign on now and you can get a pair for around $100 USD.

I looked at them and was tempted to order at least three times. So tempted. But the fits - I can't figure them out. The rear pockets seem set very low on the butt. According to the model pics, half the pocket is below the curve of the butt. Is that really how they are cut? I can't see if the model is wearing them low. That's way too low. I prefer standard pocket placement. How is the fit on your pair? I was looking at the Selvedge Fit too. The rise looks really high too. A W31 is 11" front rise. Do we have a thread for SoSo? Edit: And the rise seems either really low or too high. Nothing in between. I.e. in W31, all front rises are less than 10.0" (typically 9.8") except the Selvedge Fit which is 11.0".

seth I do find the pockets slightly lower than usual compared to oni or gustin. So if you like a standard pocket, these won't do it for you. I have gotten used to it and don't find it a big deal.I bought a size 31 and don't find the rise too high at all. bugula also has these so you may want to ask him his thoughts.

that sucks.
i just bought a pair of their new chambray pants. i'll chime in if my fly also explodes open, and if it does, i hope it does so at some opportune sexy moment, and not while i'm paying for my groceries.

i was interested in picking those up too - really nice looking and a great value.
i'm not happy with the company at all though at this point because of their lack of responsiveness to email. i ordered from them a while back and a chunk of the items were said to be out of stock a few days after paying and then a few days after that i was told other items were out of stock too yet i've not received a refund after asking for one. wondering how they'll handle these 25ozers. honestly i don't want to deal with repairing them and just want a refund to be done with them.

Yeah I've found their correspondence inconsistent.
All the best!
