I'm currently sniffing around a pair of Pure Blue Japan XX-18OZ-015 Cigarette slims. Now, my ideal size is a 18" across the waist, maybe a 17.5" with a high rise. Do any of you fine gentlemen own a pair of 36's, preferably hot washed/soaked they could run the tape over?

In a moment of weakness triumph, I ordered the XX-009s (one wash) from Blue in Green. Here's hoping I got the sizing right. FIFY

It turned out to be a triumph, the sizing is spot on. We'll see if they shrink up any more the next time I wash 'em.

It's hard to catch what they actually look like on a dim day with a cellphone, so I'll take more another day. I just couldn't resist, because I just did another machine wash and dry

In search of my holy grail, I have chosen this pair..... blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=11&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=11544&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=28&vmcchk=1According to specs, the fit is spot on. I just can't bring myself to pay the BiG premium. They are made in 3 different cuts (001, 002, 013). But, the 013 is the only one that appeals to me. Other retailers have the other 2 cuts, at a much better price. However, the 013 appears to be exclusive to BiG. They are produced only every 3 years. Quite the conundrum.....do I jump in now, or wait and hope they return in 2018 ? It's only money, right ? I can always work, and make more. Anyone who thinks this is a sickness may have a point.

Holy Christ, $685? You could nab a pair of shell cordovan shoes or boots for that kinda dough.

But, that does not mean I may have. I can't justify the price, to myself. I can dream, though.

I personally have a hard time spending anything above $200 for jeans, but then again, it's all relative isn't it? I'm sure there are plenty of individuals within my social circle that would scoff at the idea of paying $500+ for a pair of Indy boots, or $650+ for shell cordovan dress shoes, whereas I think those prices are perfectly in line with a finely crafted product. different strokes for different folks

Looks like the same cut as 012 ? But they are 18oz.
I also would like some heavier from PBJ but Im waiting until Denimio has some in stock and pay half the price.
Contructionwise they are not really worth the money IMHO. But there is nowhere else to get the fabric in the oz.

Contructionwise they are not really worth the money IMHO. But there is nowhere else to get the fabric in the oz. They are based off that cut. I believe the 011, 012, 013 are all based off the same cut. The weight, and the awa shoai dying process are what drove them to grail status, for me. But, as I said, I just can't justify the premium. At some point, I may go with the XX-013, or XX-020, to satisfy my PBJ craving. The price tag on either would be more friendly, for sure.

Have you considered the Oni 575, which are a natural indigo at 22oz? Construction is nothing special, like PBJ, but the denim is nuts. I have a pair and plan on getting some 011 or 012 PBJ (along with some lightweights and the SG 2109's, good grief.)

Remember.....I'm the guy who lives in WI, and can wear them for at least 10 months of the year. Yup. Bragging again.

Hey, I could wear mine ten months of the year too, but I'd be a hell of a lot stinkier and would probably require a visit or two to the ER. Who's braggin then?!

My 012 came today. No custom charges. Mind Blown! Welcome to the club..... As amazing as the fabric is, it only gets better in time! Note: I tried the minimal washing approach, and I just don't wear my jeans hard enough to get and notable, visible fadings like that. As I began to wash them regularly, they are showing AMAZING fades! Don't be afraid of washing them!!!

I did have the 012 in size 38, tried them on and hotsoaked them, so the fabric is no extreme news to me. My mind was mostly blown over the fact that it came without custom charges wich is so sweet.
I tried them on and they look like they might be a perfect fit after a hotsoak.
Its gonna be fun to see the difference between these and the Gustin loomies as they break in.

They were very expensive, but since Denimio doesnt send out notifications on restock and I had the money on paypal from the selling of the 38 I just went ahead and got them. I got Raw, I very much like to shrink to fit jeans. Im gonna hotsoak them and try on and unless they are very tight I will just hang dry in a dryer room (basically just a warm room). If they are tight I will have to wear some before drying.

I got about an inch of shrinkage in the waist on my XX-007s, but they stretched right back to pre-soak measure right away. Please let us know how your measures change with the soak. Enjoy!
