I just sent Okayamadenim a message. If the Momotaro 0702SP BR (Narrow Straight) is the Momotaro 0705SP BR, then I'm ordering one in a size 34.

I think the difference in 702 and 705 is that the 705 have the Going to Battle stripes. And congratulations on spending comical amounts on denim in 24 hours.

Tight straight (702) doesn't work for me quite as well as narrow straight (705) at least in the fit guide. And danke

@stevekas They look a little less slubby then the G loomies. Could you say something about the difference?
I also feel a little unsure about the fact that they are loosely woven? I normally dont like that and feel the pants get more delicate, and maybe its not a good idea to wear as tight. Something you could say here to ease my worries?. I like the color alot.

I don't own any Loomies, but I do own 2 pairs of PBJ's. I've never seen any fabric remotely close what these denim geniuses weave. A co-worker asked me if my pants were made from twine!

Are the 012 slubby and neppy? They look pretty clean.

Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all PBJ's are slubby/neppy....
They sell their jeans in 2 forms: raw, and "once washed". While raw, you can't tell so much, but after a soak/wash the fabrics "loosely woven" characteristics show through. Also, because of the loose weave, they do shrink like loomstates would. I just pulled my pair from the wash, and leg twist is CRAZY! I love it! Anxious to see them after they dry (I machine dry, using a Japanese gas clothes dryer.). I'm hoping to lose and inch or so in length, and an inch in the cuff circumstance

Aha. Thanks. But is the correct way to size if i want raw, to look at the "one wash" table, find a size that resembles a giod fitting pair, and then select that size in raw and they will shrink to the "one wash" measures after a warm soak?

Griffin - I buy the one wash based on the one wash fit guide and expect a bit of stretch. I'd rather not wash them myself. I don't soak them again when I receive them. Some people like to soak there own and in that case look at the one wash size as that's what they should shrink to after the wash.

Griffin - I guess I could have simply said yes in the response to your question.

Griffin, let me post some pics today. Mine have come along a bit sonce the last pics and especially since the thread starter pics. You can see all the gorgeous slub and neppy highlights. I would say that the fabric is a "bit more of everything" when compared to G Loomies (no disrespect). Pics today....

OK, no time for fit pics or overall shots. I just tried to shoot a couple showing the fabric characteristics. I don't have G Loomies so I can't shoot a side by side but hopefully you can make a good comparison using yours and these pics... tag time: Griffin

There it is! It's hard to see it when they are all a solid, dark shade of indigo, but as soon as they start to fade... #SlubCity

For those that dont have the G Loomies they are similar to the PBJ/Oni texture but not quite as intense

@untucked and ickes, all true...I love these things. Griffin, you need these in your life! BTW is there a non brand specific "general fades thread" someplace on the site? I wanted to put up some pics of my G American Sixteeners and the XX-012's from the pics above. I've seen some awesome fades from other guys as well, seems like a Selvage and Style "Hall of Sickness" is in order.

So far I believe the fade threads have all been brand or specific fabric fade threads. There are some other brand threads also. Not sure if we should keep it that way or add a generic fade thread. Keeping it to a brand or fabric would make it easier to find those specific fades if you were looking. You could make a PBJ fade thread. selvedgestyle.com/thread/232/ha-fadesselvedgestyle.com/thread/32/post-gustin

i'd like to see a generic fade/wear thread. it may have some overlap with the brand specific stuff, but would be a collection of interesting stuff and people might see stuff they wouldn't otherwise if they weren't browsing specific brands' boards (such as i more rarely visit the iron heart threads, so might miss something awesome that would end up in a generic fade thread)
