Well, if its any consolation, the store was TINY, with a very small selection. BiG has a larger selection of PBJ than the actual PBJ store, if that makes any sense |

Just visited the PBJ website, and they have the purple core denim online. But, they don't ship to international customers. If anyone wants to take the PBJ plunge through their website, and want to use my address so I can forward them to you, dm me.

Anybody have any experience with the x-003s? Can't find on Rakuten right now, but hopefully they show back up. Didn't buy them but have tried a pair on. I found the fit too loose for my taste. Even with the expected shrinkage I felt the hem would still be too wide. Great fabric but the cut just didn't do it for me. That said, if you're after a straight leg jean in a slight looser fit then they're a great option. |

Seems I missed out on my size 34 and the only place that has them Blue In Green Soho is charging WAY too much ($125 too much to be precise) given the current exchange rate. Kind of a bummer. Hopefully the Yen stays low and they get more in stock. |

@untucked do you have a run down of PBJ sizing for models? Something like a Sammy 710 or IH 666.

I have a size 34 in the 666XHS and a size 34 in my PBJ XX-012.... Definitely the PBJ has a lower rise all around, tighter thighs and a more slim leg from the knee down. It's a more Japanese fit, for sure

I'm sure you guys all subscribe, but PBJs on rawr denim this morning. I don't know that I've seen an IXI faded quite like this, but it really highlights the texture -- the big reason I'm looking forward to picking up a pair from these guys.  |

I just wish I wasn't such a popular size and that they made more in a run. My size sells out sooner than I hear that the Indigo x Cobalt or Purple face are available.

I haven't seen Pure Blue Japan (PBJ) mentioned yet so I thought I'd start a thread. I've only purchased one item from PBJ, the XX-012 jeans. These are indigoXindigo, unsanforized jeans. Denim weight is 14oz pre soak/shrink. PBJ is known for their slubby texture and proprietary low tension denim weaves. I don't want to write a novel here but these are by far the most interesting jeans I own, the denim is amazing. Put in bit of work doing an online search, I think you'll find some interesting stuff. They have several indigoXindigo jeans and the fades that result from good solid wear and time are unreal. These are the slimmest jeans I own, if you get a pair, size for the thighs as the top block runs a bit larger in comparison. The same denim is available in a slim straight fit, XX-007 I believe and others. Do your own research, Rivet and Hide (Europe), Blue in Green (US) and Denimio (Japan) all have fit guides online. Here's a pic of PBJs just after soak so zero fading and inky blue black. Post shrink, the inseams are about 35 inches on my 32 waist pair so I've got a massive single cuff going in the pic. If you have long legs, these might be your jeans. After about a month they are starting to get some crazy electric blue fades in certain spots. More pics another time....
