All of my 4-8 month old paid and unfulfilled orders are showing up as "unpaid" and "fulfilled". I notice I'm not the only one who has an account showing this status. Allow me to step away to make some popcorn and gather a few beers while this newest chapter in the book with a working title of "LD - We're Still Doing It Wrong" gets written.
Maybe its actually a film in progress and this whole thing has been a secret bit of performance art. I feel like LD is the Spinal Tap of denim companies. They don't even know how bad they are and therefore they can't fix themselves. We're at the point in the film where the miniature model of Stonehenge gets lowered onstage...except it's a 90cc Honda Trail being lowered into some abandoned warehouse being used as a "gritty urban" photo location, the bike has been "cafe'd" and Roman is standing there looking confused as Laura finally walks off, shaking her head and wondering what the hell she's gotten herself in to.
Next scene has somthing to do with changing the maximum volume to 11....er....I mean re labeling 16 oz denim as 17oz...."Theirs only go to 16....ours is 17"....

I guess it makes sense, they need to disassociate themselves from the mess they've made and the many bad reviews associated with the Lawless name and calling themselves something similar but that won't show up in google like ldandco will help them.
I see they are back on all those social media accounts they deleted due to all the questions about outstanding orders again too. Funny really. Seems my account doesn't exist anymore though which is slightly less so.

You must be new here. Welcome. The LDandCo name has probably had as much, if not more drama associated with it across the business and social web platforms. At this point, it's all tied together - the good, bad and ugly. Roman has his name on it and that can't change in the public records of the business domain. If you go to the new site and sign up with your old account info, you'll be able to see your order history and any credits owed (if you have any).

More humor from the new website: "Muted shades of indigo, stone and charcoal trademark our men's Fall 2015 collection." They forgot to add (available in Fall 2016 for delivery). Also, they have an option under Outerwear called "Invisible" and it displays the men's Huntsman jacket. I would probably steer clear of this one. You'll buy and they'll send you an immediate shipping notice that's trackable, but the package will be empty and they'll swear they fulfilled it since it's invisible

Does anyone know if the 50% off KS backer discount carried over to the New(est) site? I'm a KS backer but can't tell given the various on sale prices etc. Not in the market to buy. Was just curious if that made the transition.

Was just curious if that made the transition. Roman has made claims that the KS will still be honored (during his last visit here about a month ago). Of course, I think many of the KS backers here will probably tread lightly for a while. Especially until we see some guarantees in the process that our discounts will be honored.

Thanks for the info on logging in/creating a new account. Well, name wise I was more talking about Yelp and places like that which have the Business listed as Lawless. Agree unless they actually deliver what they owe people then the reviews and unhappiness will just follow them no matter how they rebrand themselves.

They aren't doing themselves any favors with those latest product shots of the guy modeling their jeans. Their jeans look awful in those pics. All the jeans in those shots sport tonal stitching too, blech!

All the jeans in those shots sport tonal stitching too, blech! Yeah I said that before. I know IH has a bowed-knee chap (and I think those pics are awful) and well, maybe they're going for the IH vibe there. I don't know, but somewhere between fashion fairies and dorks, there are just good-looking, well-built regular joes. That's what's needed... If I can't relate to the guy modeling the jeans/shirts, then I can't have a clue as to how they'd look on me.

The LA factory will start production next week. Thursday to be exact. At full speed we will produce 8-10,000 units a month. As for back order, we are focusing on the back orders 1st. My Goal is to have have us caught up over the next 30-45 days. " Read more: selvedgestyle.com/user/21/recent#ixzz3dvwtNrV5

Outsourced. Contract manufacturing. I guess I have a different definition of "first priority" than other people. Since the new LA site was supposed to be working all the custom orders starting Thursday June 4, it's weird that Lawless is able to drop another couple RTW every Thursday (as he said he was planning to do, and wanted our input) while I'm still waiting on six and seven month old orders.

I'm a little surprised that guys are giving so much credence to what Roman has said. His projections have always been out of line and grossly optimistic. If he says 30-45 days, I would expect it to be around 2 months at least. And he never put a personal guarantee on fulfilling them within 45 days. He just said his goal was to do so, which could mean he could be full focused on completing the backlog or only somewhat so. From what we've seen, it's definitely not full focused. Also, if he states that he's going to completely focus on clearing the backlog of old pre-RTW orders, I would take it with a grain of salt. I'm not sure how deep the backlog is, but I'm very much so not surprised that he's dropping RTWs in the meantime, because clearing back orders doesn't make his business any money, because they've already taken payment and used the funds months before, but dropping RTWs does make him money and keep him afloat.

devastitis - well, sometimes... eh, it's not even worth talking about. I'll wait until day 46 to look at this again, this is the single most frustrating company to attempt to deal with and just getting worse. I hope that he's at least being honest about his intent to get the custom orders cleared.

Just to lay emphasis on Roman´s words again .. quote:
"Good question. The LA factory will start production next week. Thursday to be exact. At full speed we will produce 8-10,000 units a month. As for back order, we are focusing on the back orders 1st. My Goal is to have have us caught up over the next 30-45 days."
Read the words correctly and the minimum of produced items is 8 units a month

In other related news, I did just see that LD is looking to hire 2 more customer service folks in Phoenix. They posted the add on their FB page with instruction to connect with Laura. Brilliantly, they at least gave us Laura's email address too.
I was tempted to comment on how "for minimum wage, you too can become one of the most disliked people in the denim industry!"

I"m sure somebody has brought this up somewhere, but I just saw it:
"We will run our ready to wear selvedge denim collection for men and women in a 5 day campaign. Those who sign up for our VIP mailing list will get an invite to buy our new release at $58 for 24 hours before the general public. After 24 hours, we will continue to run the collection to everyone at $58. After the 5th day the price will return to our $79 price until the item sells out."
Another new tact, the "modified Taylor Stitch" I guess?
Good grief.
