i'm still trying to lay down rules but it's a work in progress. my son still asks me to go to places like Target and I keep telling him no. I'll take him to a thrift store instead which may be a temporary band-aid because he still wants stuff. the upside to thriftstores, stuff is far cheaper. the other day I took him to Goodwill and we scored the Transformers motherload. I got him 3 Transformers toys for $10, which at Target would've only gotten me 1 overpriced Transformer toy. I'm trying to get him out for my physical activities but he seems resistent, whereas, when he's with his mom he's more likely to go. I think he just associates going to the store with me and doing activities with his mom. another weird thing, my son woke up the other morning really upset to the point where he was crying. of course, he had a bad dream and when I asked him about it he said, "in my dream you told me you wouldn't make Mac N Cheese for me anymore." I couldn't believe how upset this made him but I had to reassure him that it was just a dream. You should have a talk with his mother. She has to lay down the rules and not give in to what your son wants or wants to do.

Believe me, i've told my boy repeatedly that we're not going to the store to buy anything but lately it's been full temper tantrum mode and I give in because I don't want him making a scene. Now I've decided I can't take him anymore because of the meltdowns. He even asks me if I bought him any new toys when he comes and stays with me. You have to lay down the rules. Don't give in to your son. I have a 4yr old and a 2yr old. Both are giving me and my wife issues. My daughter the 2 year old gets mad if we don't give her enough attention. My son gets upset at school when he does something wrong. With my son we learned to help him cope with what had happen (for ex: he spilled some blueberries at his school and got upset. I took him to the side and told him that it was ok. It was a mistake. Mistake happens. Well get more later, then he began his tantrum, but then stopped once I told him that he has to behave in school. If not he won't be allowed to go to kindergarten.) my wife just laughs, but she likes how I'm coping with our son. Now back to my daughter. The little pain in the ass. I have to blame her tantrums on my mother, mother in law and my wife. They spoil the crap out of her. HELP!

12.5oz Christmasakkuh weird guys on sale for $118 at theclassroomshop.com if anyone cares I can't see myself wearing those or N&F now. I tried on 3 of there slim fits and they all seem way to baggy. Even sizing down didn't help.

So I met with the founder of the company and getting my first pair of "bespoken" raws. I went with the 13/14oz (for got which one) white oak con w/ red selvedge ID. Progress: As you see there's camo in the works. That will be used for the pockets like what Left Field does with the red bandana.

Got my 18 oz collect mills in Chelsea fit today. Very pleased with these and I think they are a great heavier denim replacement to my 20 oz. CF's. They are quite comfortable right out of the box. The fabric is very slubby but doesn't have the vertical streakiness I sometime associate with heavy Slub. The rise is definitely higher which takes a little getting used to, but I like it. One detail I hadn't noticed before buying was the tonal stitching on the fly, but the standard copper color stitching everywhere else. All in all a great pair. Happy I bought them. Great. I love how the Chelsea fit looks.

What a day. I left my jeans to hang dry. Then to find out that my wife rewashed then began dried them. Luckily I was able to take them out of the dried fast. So they are still damped. It doesn't look bad at all. Here are 2 photos. Let me know what you guys think... You obviously haven't had "the talk" with your wife. When I entered the world of raw denim, I told my wife to NEVER touch my jeans, or basically any of my clothes thank you, and that I'll handle that chore myself. Although they have good intentions, it can cause serious grief. My wife has one pair of raws, and she has me take care of any laundering they may incur. She knows how to work it. Oh trust me. I had the talk w/ my wife already. I told her that I'll handle my Jeans unless there a pair of polos which are regular denim.

I believe these are not "shrink-to-fit" (unsanforized) Levis, judging by the factory wear marks (whiskers, honeycombs) and train-track marks which would be hardly as noticeable on a two-week old pant. If I am not mistaken, you can wash these pants in your washer just as normal and there is no need for the initial soak method. All shrinkage has been taken out at the factory. You're correct. At the time I wasn't sure, but now 8/10 pairs of raw from other brands I know the difference.

So I'm thinking about pulling the plug and getting 2 pairs of the New petit standard fit, but in my true size which is a 36. If I'm not mistaken these are the slim fit they carry, but I want 2 Specific pairs that was a collaboration with Supreme that came out in 2009 :/

Why don't you send one pair to each place and then compare the results? Then you'll know where to go for any future work. Good point, but I rather have 1 company do it properly than having them sent out to two different companies and one comes out bad. Then I'm screwed.

I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong section or if there is already a thread on this. Today I'm doing my 1st soak on my Levi's 511 slim selvedge that I had for 2 weeks. The reason why I'm doing an early soak b/c my son spilled a lot of OJ on me yesterday. Moving on now... So I added warm luke water into my tub and used wooite dark, so far the denim has been submerged for about 20mins. I will wait another 10-20mins until I wash the woolite off. I made sure not to over do it with the woolite (about a teaspoon or 2 is what I used) I will gently scrub my denim before rinsing them off w/ cold water then hang dry them inside my bathroom since the weather isn't holding up to well today. I will post a follow up photo of the outcome once the denim is dried by tomorrow. This right here is why I tell my wife the need to have my cabinet always stocked with bourbon. Lol

Do it! I was considering the Greaser fit until I tried on the Chelsea fit. I prefer the slimmer Tapered fit since my legs are tiny, but my thighs aren't to big so the fit is good. Do all Left Field jeans come with the red bandana pocket bags? I really love that detail and although you can only see it when you're taking your pants off or taking a leak ...it looks great. The ones I have comes with with the red bandana pocket bags. When you got your jeans. Did you get the left field bandana?

I also just noticed that they seem to have restocked the 18oz fabric in the Greaser cut so now my size is available. Might have to pick a pair of those up too. Do it! No one wants to buy them :/. Plus Brooklyn Denim Co will do the tailoring for me for 35 a pair. That's a good price. Post about the end result if you don't mind. Will do, but I found another place to get it done: www.thestantontailor.com going to do a little more research on them. Heard that self edge uses them when people want stuff Tapered since self edge doesn't offer that service.

I think I'm going to try and attempt to get both of my pairs of Slim Straights tailored to Slim Tapered. Wouldn't it be cheaper to sell them and repurchase? Tapering seems expensive enough to only really make sense on $200+ denim. No one wants to buy them :/. Plus Brooklyn Denim Co will do the tailoring for me for 35 a pair.
