For those of you within the Ballast Point distro footprint, I highly reccomend Sculpin and its variants (pineapple and grapefruit). They ain't cheap off the shelf, about $15 a sixer, but it's still cheaper than trading and easily competes with the more "rare" IPA's. Just had a couple Pineapple Sculpins last night and can hardly believe something so good is available at Trader Joe's. Their footprint is now huge after the 1bil buyout - but yes, sculpin and its variants are terrific beer. Habenero too, if thats your thing

I think Pliny is overrated and nope I do not wait in those crazy lines just to get some of that brew. But hey that's just me. I would love to trade for a 6 pack of porter or stout that I can't get here in the bay area or from Bev-Mo lol. Or someone would send it to me and I'll just pay for shipping/cost of 6 pack drewcandraw - you in SF? I'd make this happen, if you could snag a Rare Barrel or something, or even some blind pig (i'd take that over pliny - gasp )

Zombie Dust is supposedly amazing. I just want to have something from them! Also would like some of the Trappist beers from Europe. brentkuz - where are you at, I can happily trade you three floyds - just saying. Just a matter of what I can get my hands on it, which isn't terribly difficult on some of the basics. Zombiedust is terrific, most their beers are really solid, about gumballhead season too

Where do you live kkozel and what do you have to trade? I've done a ton of beer trading in the past but am currently on a long term hiatus from it. Not looking to setup any trades but am genuinely curious what the hot regional breweries are at the moment. Guess it depends on whats hot - in the Midwest, in my opinion, Pipeworks/Surly/Half Acre/Three Floyds are the hot ones, but right now, Founds KBS and Goose's BCBS seem to be the demand.

Can we do this? If not, mods delete... Was about to post some beer online for trade/sale, but figured I'm more inclined to post here, would folks be up for some beer swap? I'd love to get my hands on things that don't distribute to my neck of the woods, and would be happy to send things to folks in the same situation. Things that I'd be looking for: Heady Topper Sip of Sunshine anything from Hill Farmstead Bottle Logic Russian River Cigar City

Yes. I love those and have thought about getting them. They produce nice fades. The indigo/indigo fabric is great, almost crunchy, in my opinion...fades nicely too.

I just got the 17oz version in yesterday... It's a monster piece! But, still totally wearable I got this off the bay, vs waiting out for the OD. It is a monster, and I'm a huge fan.

agree with disheveled here, I got one of these from rodeo bros, roomy at the waist, but the color/fabric is something else.

hey did you guys here that Los Angeles has a football team again? 1.5 teams in fact... SD is reserving the right to come here after next season, depending on if they get a new stadium in SD. Odd. I don't think LA is a good football town, but I could be wrong. People will flock for a while, but look at how teams get forgotten but one season after not being on top. It's a rough town for sports, and I'm not sure that it will work. I hope I'm wrong though. *edit; I'm just thrilled that MINN never decided to come here. I would have had to pick a new team. Vikings in LA is BS, and thankfully the team stayed. Rams, Chargers, Raiders - don't care so it's fine if they come back. Although I used to see Eric Dickerson quite often in local clubs in the 80's LOL You two please stay on topic of general iron heart discussion

Can all this get summarized by "Damn this sucks IH isn't going to be on Rakatan anymore", I ask cause I work through this and try to figure out the uproar - how is this different than any other good? Sure, some shops are the only suppliers of a brand. But we can easily save money and buy from Japan for many of those. Or, choose better customer service and knowledge and happily pay more. It's a trade off, and when that trade off isn't available, it bugs me. Sure - bugs me too, just like it bugs me when a specific beer I want is made only available at a brewery which I can't get to, and to get it I either pay a premium, of find a buddy to proxy it for me. Or I move on.

Anyone have thoughts on the IH-666N? I'm looking at them in a 34, the Momotaro 0305-14 in a 34 (with thighs closer to 12), or the PBJ xx-018 in a 33. I have picked up the 633N, the fabric is pretty damn cool. Its weird to call 17oz light, but it seems that way vs other things.

My sale purchase from IHUK showed, and I'm digging it. IHSH-96, different beast from a denim or UHF, thats for sure. Still regret not pulling trigger on the double duck pants or jacket.

Agree with folks here, its just too big. I've had this happen before, and if you want to get on a return, get on it sooner than later. They are good about swapping. I soaked this pretty warm, mostly to get the starch out, and its big. Small cuffs though. It is not my favorite from them, but it is pretty heavy duty, so should be fun to beat up a bit.

The 18oz Indigo/Indigo is terrific - this is a case where I went with the 633 cut and SE prices.
But now that the IH-526J-DD is on special, i may change tune.

I tried to get through a lot of this forum, but its a bit more than I'm able to take in this early, but my takeaway is to give giles a lot of credit for getting on here and explaining how he elected to set up his business. He can elect to charge whatever he sees fit, you as the consumer can elect to decide if thats a value or not. To me its all pretty simple. Its also simple for me to try to find the same product elsewhere for less.
I will say, in my experience, my dealings with IHUK are worth the extra money for all the reasons mentioned above. Just my $0.02
Lastly, damn giles coming in with a pretty slick exclusive 143.

These have been soaked, worn a bit (maybe 30ish wears), just don't like the low rise. Can get measurements/pics if interested.

They likely don't want to get over extended. They don't see value in putting out a TON of stuff, but rather a set collection carefully selected QUALITY stuff. Not saying Gustin doesn't have quality. They do here and there quite often. But they also have a lot of poor stuff as well. And trying to navigate those landmines is tough. What's gonna look good, what's gonna look crap? TS, you know what you are getting. I am betting you'll see more denim here and there, but shirts and jackets and chinos and work pants are what they see themselves as specializing in. They may not want to open the crazy box of sourcing quality Japanese denim. I think they already overextended themselves when they did the Target collab. They're clearly aiming for a larger market but where they want to take themselves is anyone's guess. The demand is there for the denim campaigns, as we've clearly seen with their recent Yoshiwa Mills black selvedge offerings. Don't get me wrong, I like Gustin and the main draw for me is the interesting denim they put up but also the price points. It's like an addiction. I really have to refrain from buying stuff from Gustin because there always seems to be something I like. With TS, it's the opposite. I have one pair of their selvedge jeans I scored off Fleabay for $50 NWOT. I like them a lot but wished they'd come up with more denim offerings rather than the shit ton of shirt offerings I keep seeing. I have yet to fund anything from TS because of this. The other thing here is TS started as a shirt company - really just made the oxford in the beginning. So pure speculation here, but thats what they pride themselves on. Pants/Jeans etc are relatively new to them, so its not something they do often. If you get rid of the recent workshop stacking, TS's way of life was 1 new product released in limited quantities once a week. The denim and pants is relatively new to them (think the last couple of years) and its gone through a few iterations - like the two new fits vs the one they had years prior. Maybe as they figure it out they'll do more, but I never viewed TS as a denim company, its a shirt company first. I want to say it was only up until the last year and a half they even did denim (maybe short there) but I know they used to just sell tellason and still may carry it in their shop. With all that said, they probably noticed people going after their denim so much, and thats why we've seen the non-selvage and selvage come out 2x this year.
