I've been kinda bummed by Taylor Stitch since they started the workshop, seems that it's a shifted focus in their business model, but I'd bet they've seem how the Gustin boys are doing and figure they should get in on it since it's "lower risk". Also seen the same shift in Flint and Tinder. It's interesting to watch commerce develop. I'm still thinking of that Pine project jacket, just not sure if I really need it in my wardrobe. Seems like it'd be great for travel. I'm on the opposite end, I like it. I mean it is slower to get things in my hand, but the cost difference is okay for the 1-month. And they option in returns/exchanges, which makes it less risky. Much better than the gustin model. Haven't really followed flint and tinder, so can't speak to that.

Guys, I strongly urge you to employ my strategy of holding out for upcoming Taylor Stitch releases. TS releases some nice heavy shirts, flannels, and coats (like the project coat out now, mentioned above) for fall/winter. Lawless and TS will more than likely get all my fall/winter purchases. oh and speaking of CPOs and TS, this is what they released last winter; taylorstitch.com/blogs/archive/11586661-edition-140-maritime-shirt-jacketI've posted this before and I'm sure others have seen this, but this is how a CPO is done IMO. This is probably the one item I regret not purchasing more than any other. I had every opportunity to buy it as I logged on to TS the minute it was released but I over thought it, hesitated...convinced myself I didn't need it, and it was gone. Sold out in a few hours if I remember correctly. Unfortunately it is rumored that TS will not be releasing it again The other thing to look at is TS is releasing what could be more of a wool peacoat? On their instagram about the workshop, they drop a hint about the coat. http://instagram.com/p/tTJCwLIsyw Apolis has something too, thats much better looking than Gustin's, but I'm still unsure if I think apolis is worth the cost.

Ickes- Joined this forum just cause of this thread. I was really close to getting the 18oz zimb from Gustin, then balked. Really couldn't figure out how it was a $175 jean, given then annoyance's I've had with most their products. Long story short, i waffled on 3sixteen 17oz and the tellason 16.75 oz, and then pulled trigger on tellason 33, straight slim cut. Should beer her monday, and I'll put it toe-to-toe against the regular zim I have from gustin. To me, being able to return, and getting 5 days later, made tellason worth the extra 50$, despite losing the ounces. 3sixteen looked great, but figured that could be next.
If you want, i can send you a referral, think you get 10% off.
