Guys, I strongly urge you to employ my strategy of holding out for upcoming Taylor Stitch releases. TS releases some nice heavy shirts, flannels, and coats (like the project coat out now, mentioned above) for fall/winter. Lawless and TS will more than likely get all my fall/winter purchases. oh and speaking of CPOs and TS, this is what they released last winter; taylorstitch.com/blogs/archive/11586661-edition-140-maritime-shirt-jacketNow that is a damn good looking shirt. I broke out my Woolrich shirt-jac in gray/black herringbone yesterday and can't imagine reaching for some over-pocketed abomination instead.

Sorry for the confusion, I've updated the post. They're tagged 31W (vanity sized) but measure at a 34" waist. I'll post the exact inseam and leg opening tonight, but the inseam should be approx 36" and the opening is probably about 15".

Bought these NWOT on Ebay and don't like the fit relative to N&F jeans. The Weird Guy is pretty tight in the thighs, which doesn't bother me on jeans but I'm not liking the fit in canvas. N&F uses vanity sizing and these are tagged 31W. They fit almost exactly like the N&F 31W jeans in the weird guy fit that I've tried on in stores. These are unhemmed/unworn without tags. I'll take $60 shipped or will trade for interesting size M tops or 33 bottoms.

It finally dropped into the 50s overnight here in TX so my tin cruiser got its first wear of the season this morning. Damn I missed this jacket.

I measured my M oxford this weekend and it's 1.5" smaller than the fit guide on the chest. I think Gustin might be constitutionally incapable of getting sizing right.

I have a waxed trucker and it's a hell of a jacket. The Seattle fit is pretty good if you're not looking for boxy cuts.

I just won an ebay auction for a pair of N&F Duck Canvas Selvedge, how do you like them? They're tagged 31 but measure 34" which was my experience trying them on at Nordstrom. Hopefully these scratch my itch for Carhartts with a tailored fit. www.ebay.com/itm/201183481939?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITI have three pairs of Naked and Famous. Duck Canvas Selvedge Arctic Selvedge (same as the Gustin's Japan GreyxGrey) Indigo Selvedge Chino Quality is pretty good and the size is one size smaller than Gustin. Thinking about the elephant 4 but need the fund to buy some Lawless shirts and vest.

I think the fit is pretty solid on the M for me. I have quite a few Banana Republic Tailored Slims in M and it fits just a little looser than that on me in the chest and about the same on the waist. I'd measure at 39" in the chest and 33.5" at the waist and while I'm not a gym freak, I do pushups/situps, run 15 miles/week and have a two pack of abs. I think Gustin shirt is really designed for people with your body shape. I am relatively bigger on my upper body and smaller on my waist. Btw, I look at the shirt again and the front pocket is small... anyway, I don't see myself get another Gustin button down shirt until they have a different fit and bigger pocket. Yeah, to be fair it only has a 2" drop in their size guide from chest to waist. I have a 5.5" drop on my actual measurements and plenty of guys have 8" or more if they're in really great shape.

Other sub forums seem to have this, so figured I'd add.
At the top for me would be:
-a pink oxford (already have the blue with charcoal on order) -duck canvas pants, potentially in both chino and carpenter styles -trucker jacket, but something more original than a type 3

That's perfect on the Western shirt. Two snaps on the sleeve, right? If the fit/finish are good I'll start a thread or two on various forums. I did that with my current raw denim from Traveller in Austin and a few people on the Reddit thread said they wanted to buy after seeing the pics.

I'm excited to see the final details on the western/work shirts. Would they be applied to an order I put in last week? I'd also like to hear a clarification on if the pockets are really lined on the shirts and where the tag goes. Or are the tag/pocket liner items just left over from the jeans order form?

Yeah, I'd hit the order button on those canvas pants immediately.

I backed the Zimbabwe and went with classic M. The oxfords fit me fine, maybe slightly looser than a Banana Republic tailored slim M. As long as these don't sew up any more than 1" small it should be about perfect with the extra length of the work shirts. I've seen this extra length referenced a lot, but it appears the fit guide was revised after the initial release of the work shirts. The length is now listed as the same as the equivalent size in the button-downs. That does seem to be true, I was just going on the pics of completed shirts. Now I'm considering switching to a Slim L.

This right here. My non-vintage flannels all suck and my Carhartt double knee ducks are too baggy for anything other than yard/ranch work.

Although I have three little boys so I spend most of my time playing football/soccer/legos/cars/nerf with them.

And now I have one on order. I haven't bought a shirt with snaps in close to a decade so I'm pretty fired up. Any pics of the back? Western scallops or the same angular look on the yoke?

Wils, I definitely haven't seen anything else on the market with the ability to customize great fabrics and sew in the US at this kind of price. A gray/light denim heavy shirt with offwhite snaps and thread should make damn fine cowboy shirt to go with my silver belly Stetson.

Yes, I had to look up pics (expanded) of all the details and really think it over. I went with tonal stitching since my Gustins and Travellers are both contrast.
Also, just ordered a western shirt:
12.5 oz. Candiani N-Gine Selvedge Denim Western Shirt, Medium Button Snap Color: Pearl White Pocket Liners: 6oz Beige Canvas Denim Tag: Koi 2 Thread Colors: Khaki
