Thanks for all the pictures, guys. The triple stitch is probably my favorite part so far. I have a pair of $250 cone denim jeans (I know, I know) with a ridiculously perfect fit from a company in Austin and the triple stitch was part of why I didn't feel so bad paying a ton of money. The fact that Lawless is putting out something similar at an almost comical discount is very impressive.

here are the pictures of the slim fit field jacket with the armhole. What do you guys think? I only wear slim fit Jacket but not sure about this type of style. I think it doesn't look very slim in the body or arms and I wouldn't describe those as high arm holes. And this isn't mean as an insult in any way, but the guy modeling the jacket doesn't look like a slim fit kind of guy. What's the size of the jacket and the height/weight of the guy wearing it?

Has anybody bought a pair of the $68 12.5 oz red ID that's made in Texas? I'd like to hear more about where the denim is being made and in what style. And if anybody has a review of the finished product that would be great as well.
I'm full of carpet bagger Texan pride and am tempted by the TX denim X TX sewing potential here.

Yes, slightly tighter in the thigh and way slimmer from the knee down.

The downtown-able duck pant is my white (brown?) whale right now. Although I did once have a girl working an art gallery show in LA say "oooh, where'd you get those pants?" while checking out my Carhartt double knees that were beat to hell from summers of surveying in Alaska.
I'd like to see a clean, modern fit, 5 pocket, single layer pair first, but I would probably pick up another pair (ideally in a heavier weight like the Ironheart pants) with double knees and possibly utility pockets.

Just bought an Army canvas chore coat from B/S/T in size L. Can't wait to try my first jacket from Gustin.

I believe I have a line on the first ever Ciano Farmer duck canvas pants. They're making them in my size, then posting pics (likely in this thread) before I can buy them. Duck canvas pants seem shockingly hard to find in the middle ground between Ironheart/Roy/Left Field and Carhartt on the low end. N&F weird guys were way too skinny in the legs and the Carhartt WIP pants I ordered have very oddball sizing in the top block vs. bottom block.
Anyway, I can't wait to see them as I don't need anymore denim. I've always loved the look of the fabric and would like a more modern fit than Carhartt cuts.

I love that original face and wish I had it. $225 is good for that watch as they routinely go over $300 used on watchuseek.

And this is what the Maratac is edging out for time. It's a Benarus Sea Snake with a slightly higher grade 9015 Miyota movement with a date function. It's slightly dressier and also highly waterproof so I wear it to the pool/on the boat. My boys love the lume, you can practically read by it at night.

I have Flint and Tinder boxer briefs with the shortest leg option and they're great. Wait until they have a crazy promo sale and they're $5 or less and they're a damn good deal. Never tried meundies, but they're way better than Gap/AE/CK, etc.

The header for this forum says watches, but there's no discussion. What are you guys wearing? This Maratac Big Pilot from county comm has pushed a few others nearly out of the rotation. It routinely goes on sale for $209, which is nuts for a miyota movement with C3 superluminova and a sapphire crystal. If you don't like big watches they also have a midsize in 38mm. The watch comes on a cheesy two piece black nylon, but I wear it on a variety of one piece NATOs. countycomm.com/maratacpilotlarge2013.html

Yes, that slim version looks about like my size L Filson waxed canvas. If you're making two fits the slim should probably be a bit slimmer.

I like the removable quilted idea for sure. That's the exact setup my motorcycle jacket has and it's very functional. Quilted satin/poly isn't fancy, but it makes a jacket incredibly easy to slip on. I've tried on a blanket lined waxed trucker from Traveller Denim in Austin and the friction combined with the stiffness of the jacket made it a bear to get on.

FILSON

I don't have the western, but I have the regular Mackinaw, and it is a staple for me this time of year. They are awesome, and I really like the 24oz. Mackinaw wool. These guys carry Filson, and if you keep an eye out, they discount their gear. Outlandusa.com Thanks, I'm still kicking it around in my head, but $165 for a vest...

I'm a Bruin, not a Trojan. (In response to the Gustin shirt photo) Aw hell, then I DEFINITELY wouldn't let you try one of my shirts. That bright green/magenta thing is hideous, can't get down with it at all. If it was a legit cardinal and gold I'd think about it.

Just got an email from Lawless:
Hello, You've recently bought Type II Denim Jacket, what do you think about it?
I'd definitely love to give a review...but even the jeans/shirt I ordered in early October are still in the queue somewhere.

I'd love to buy a pair and review them as a sample. I have a pair of Carhartt duck pants that are at least a dozen years old with no blowouts and no taped seams. They are triple stitched in areas but that's it, so I'm fine with flat felled and no taping with the understanding that you can't warranty. Maybe we could reach an agreement on price? I'd like something similar to the post-wash dimensions of your size 31 901 slim fit. In other words, waist 33-34, thigh around 12", leg opening 7.8", 34" inseam. we are going to make a pair up for you in your size....but we have to make them to our standard...everything that come out of our "SHOP" has to have a LIFETIME GUARANTEE...so Mike and I are working on the Duck Canvas jean for you...SIZE 31 Slim Fit...we are going to "CADILLAC" this pair and take pictures before you purchase...so you can see...COOL? ?? Carhartt watch you back!!!! LOL I'm thrilled! I just spent yesterday afternoon chain sawing and splitting oak in my carhartts and can't wait to put yours to the test. I dig the duck jacket but already have a waxed filson like that.

Nice work cianofarmer. I would love to see you make a western shirt with long staple Texas cotton. +1, I live in TX and it would be cool to have a 100% made in TX shirt.

Your pair doesn't fit my actual waist size (32") but how is the fit? Slim? If I want to buy a pair, what size that I should buy? Do you like it? The fit is pretty damn slim. My actual waist is probably 33.5" ish at this point (shrinking by the day, thanks crossfit) and I liked the fit from the thigh down on this pair. If I sized down to a 29 to get a 33-34 waist I probably wouldn't even be able to pull them over my thighs and they'd be too tight in the leg opening to wear over boots. I liked the material and style, the quality (at least for $75 vs $150) with lots of bar tacks and straight stitching. They're pretty unique looking as well, you're not going to see somebody else on the street with a pair of nifty tapered european Carhartts.

I've read on reddit about recent complaints on the fit changing from a nice athletic/slim fit to a boxy disaster. Anybody bought one recently?
