You could buy my Carhartt WIP selvedge ducks and jortify them I was considering them, but the COO breaks the deal I hear you, hence my continuing search for duck pants, preferably US made with a good slim/straight sizing.

As for the duck canvas jeans...Yes we can... No problem....But I can not guarantee the duck canvas for a lifetime unless we tape all the seam... Is that okay?... do you want us to make a sample so you can see what it looks like? I'd love to buy a pair and review them as a sample. I have a pair of Carhartt duck pants that are at least a dozen years old with no blowouts and no taped seams. They are triple stitched in areas but that's it, so I'm fine with flat felled and no taping with the understanding that you can't warranty. Maybe we could reach an agreement on price? I'd like something similar to the post-wash dimensions of your size 31 901 slim fit. In other words, waist 33-34, thigh around 12", leg opening 7.8", 34" inseam.

Jacket looks sharp, but can you make me a pair of canvas pants in the 12 oz duck?

I want some heavy duck canvas pants. If prefer selvedge and 5 pocket, but I could do a chino or utility pant as well. Something like these Carhartt WIP pants I ordered except not in a bizarro world fit.

New 12oz selvedge duck Carhartt five pocket pants from their Work in Progress European line. They look great and are a clear step up from the US stuff. Made in Tunisia, not sure on the fabric origin. The actual measurements are 36" waist, 24" thigh, 14.25" hem on a 34" inseam. I tried them on, but they're easily 2" too big for me in the waist but a great fit from the thigh down. Picture a 35 slim gustin waist on a pair of gustin 32-33 slim pants. Price is shipped in the US, will also trade for 33 slim pants and M shirts.

I'm pretty sure I have a Woolrich coat made out of their version of that 24 oz fabric. Making it into a shirt seems impossible and I don't even break that thing out until temps are sub-freezing. Can't wait to see one of these shirts in photos.

Do the pants have a COO on the tag? Do they look/feel like they'll hold up to being worked in? I'll check on the COO tonight. The shirt was made in Turkey but I didn't look at the pants. It's definitely a nice selvedge canvas with possibly a little more weight and a looser weave than you'd find on the US work pants. Seems like they ought to hold up to work about like the single knee US pants.

What the hell, 32x34 measured in at a 36" actual waist. The shirt I ordered is a nice fitted M which makes the 4" pant vanity sizing even more glaring. gotta read that fit guide brother! 36.2-37.2 is the spec on that. The question, though, is do you feel better about yourself since a 32 is gigantic on you? btw, took some looking, but you click the i next to the size selector for the fit guide. Ugh, just disappointed that I didn't see the fit guide. I'd have to buy a 29 (!) to get the waist right and then they'd fit like jeggings. The search for duck canvas continues.

Wow, ordered Thursday, Nov 6 and they're out for delivery today. Apparently they're coming from Freiburg, Germany. If crowd-funding does only one thing, it has to be that it makes you feel special when you get something delivered in three business days. Ha, exactly. Shipped over a long weekend from a slightly obscure German city seems unbelievable relative to 3 months waiting on something from San Francisco.

The fit on that shirt is nails. Not sure about the pointy collar and slant pockets, though.

They sell beard conditioner and shampoo. I don't think I can do business with these people.

I have to agree that it's not an amazing looking jacket. I also don't get the obsession with hands in pockets on that kind of jacket, but possibly because if it's cold I'm going to be wearing gloves.

Thanks. Love the fabric and the price but unsure about the fit. My legs are short, so I prefer slimmer fit. Yeah, not sure if they do that heavy duck canvas in any of their super slim fits. Seems like most of those are in a weird cotton/poly blend material for some reason. And I don't see see paying $150 for poly blend pants.

I bought something like 10 pairs of their underwear on a labor day sale where they were around $4/ea shipped. Great fit and quality construction on them so far.

Got two updates, the Zim WS is cutting this week and sewing next week and the navy chinos are a week ahead of that. I really want that WS by my Thanksgiving trip so I can roll into North Carolina, the land of Cone Mills, rocking some new denim.

Just to ask: who else got a Type II? What fabrics/choices? This looks like a solid, definitely retro garment that, if it fits (Roman's looks great), will have lots of character. I got the Indigo/Indigo Kaihara, Topaz thread, Black/copper buttons, and Samurai patch (when it was still an option). Slightly bummed that I got it the day before the sale, but other than that I'm pumped. Any other Type II love out there or do you guys not wear denim jackets? (the fate of the G denim trucker hangs heavy over us all...) I ordered one in the 15.2 oz cone with the brown thread and copper buttons. This will be my first denim jacket ever and I'm pretty amped for it. I have a feeling it will make me want to run out and buy another motorcycle.

You guys are killing me. I backed the herringbone last night, read all the complaints on sizing/quality and cancelled this morning. Definitely sticking with my plan to see how the zimb fits/feels before backing another even though I think that herringbone is the best looking Gustin shirt yet.

Man, that herringbone is giving me an itchy mouse finger in the worst kind of way. I'd hate to violate my new policy of figuring out my sizing before backing another item, though. I need to see how my Zimb WS fits in Slim/Large before doubling down. That said it's easily the best looking WS they've put out yet even if it's not selvage.
