It's 95 here today. It's flip flop season. But I'm trying to look less like a surfer bum and wearing Vans more. Shit, that doesn't really change things, does it? Bum! My sockless shoes are Swims. Great for being around the water on the boat or the beach as they can be immersed and you can easily hose the sand out. They do run a size small though.

Now that it's warming up what are some good no show socks thar are durable and comfortable? I know smart wool has some but I'm iffy on their quality, and darn tough just came out with some that I'm going to try out. I have just bought tons of the JC**W no shows when they go on sale. Difficulty is I am size 12 and sometimes they bite into the top of your foot. As to Bentins comment........he is correct. If you want stinky shoes and bad foot hygiene, go barefoot!

I like the look of this chukka. Would like to see top down shots of the derbys. So great that they have daitante on the derbys as I need more shoes to wear in winter. I'm so sick of leather soles, though I guess I can TOPY shoes with leather soles..... www.trumanboot.com/collections/in-stock-boots/products/custom-chukkaThe Salvia horse rump is calling my name. Truman needs to do a better job of posting samples. I see that the webmaster added +$15 upcharge to horse today. Doh!

Divison Road x Wesco Packhorse Those are some of my favorite boots ever. Whats the leather on that again? Im thinking White's service boots in that leather and save a couple hundred.

I'll have to give credit to Gustin for staying true to their model, and not outsourcing everything they make. My only complaint to them is when they changed the sizing on their shirts. I have a couple of great denim shirts from G that fit as good as any IH I own, but those are XXLs, but unfortunately those don't work for me since they sized down. At least they are still producing them here. We are in agreement and have covered this ad-nauseum but selling out the shirting to reverse vanity sizing had to be a volume proposition decision that tied into their cost per unit. Given the average size of Americans these days I'm not sure that's the correct long term play. Be that as it may the production model of pay and sew should allow for this accommodation if only for the marketing value of retaining advocates that are a vocal minority. Freenote did the same thing dropping the xxl size which fit me great, but their prices are ....boutique. Eagle Rare says hello.

Another note to add to the last TS survey. I had made some comments to them concerning the direction they have taken since their beginning, and had noted that I didn't really want a response. They sent back quite a lengthy response, which to me was basically blah blah blah, about why they do what they do, but what I found most interesting was they claimed that they are NOT profitable. That being the case, how much longer will they be able to operate? I'm sure there are finance people on here that could chime in on this idea, but if they are being truthful about NOT being profitable I'm guessing they are looking to be acquired so the principals can cash out. Build up the volume, client list, and manufacturing base to the point where some entity decides they look good enough to buy.

Thanks. I was mulling the Burgundy IHSH-156 just yesterday but am still not into $345 for it. The $20 less for the Kersey @ $325 helps with the psychological pricing barrier, but to anyone outside these forums they would still likely look at me funny if I told them.

I'm thinking about the Kersey as I have been drawn more towards solids lately and it's a very flexible piece.
Are measurements out on these yet?
What is the expected release date?
I was recently perusing various IH shirts and notice that even the same style varies from shirt to shirt and year over year on sizing. I'm a xxxl for reference.
But I'd def cut off that damn tag.

Between epic snowstorms (16" over the past couple of days!), it actually got sort of warm here in MN (high in the low 50s), so I was able to bust out my Ratio linen shirt for the first time. Highly recommended. The texture is really cool and the material drapes differently than any cotton garment I've owned. Yes, Ratio fabric offerings are limited, but take a flyer on a linen shirt. I've had a BR linen shirt for about 12 years that is perfect for summer. It's slightly boxy, is like a natural light beige, and goes with everything. Point is I have been thinking about measuring it and/or sending it in to replicate the cut for other linen shirts, because it's perfect and slightly different than the cut I'd want out of poplin.

I finally jumped in. I kept checking the new releases, as they came in. But, nothing was jumping out at me. So, I went with what I had saved, the Larkspur Floral. With summer approaching, I figured it would make for good casual wear, while dialing in the fit, if needed. The only thing I couldn't seem to commit to was the collar. I went with the small semi-spread, over the standard semi. Being that, I'll only wear it casually in warmer weather, it seemed appropriate. I bought the same pattern and I recall that Bentin was also on that one. I wish they would get in some better fabrics. Too much old school suiting shirting. The next fabric of Ratio's I'm enamored with is the blue/blue seersucker, but after that my fascination wanes quickly.

Bunch of slub T shirts from Gustin have dropped. I have been waiting for these for awhile as IMO, the slub shirts are the second best T shirts G makes.
The best one is the heavy indigo.

Double black arrived today. They are lightweight but crispy. BS was, worth the wait. Quality is great and always surprising given the price point. These may have quenched my desire of a pair of Black Marias Are you still liking these? I'm leaning towards buying a pair as the Regular Taper is a great fit for me. I currently own G Black x Coal and G Itally Black x Black and am trying to justify the purchase..........

So I jumped in the Ratio pool and got my 'gift credits'.
Anyone here ready to make a first purchase, let me know and I'll send you a code.
I'd prefer if you were serious as we only get 3.
Thanks. $50 off first shirt.

I've had mine for a few years. I wear it often enough, it's just that many times I look at it in the closet and think "oh, I'll wear that" then when I do I'm like "hmm, this is a pretty nice shirt". IT's a bit of a sneaker pattern. It'll grow on you. I think that Red White and Blue poplin they run all the time is the best though. That pattern is a workhorse. Not the Flag one? Right? Mine's so thin and unaligned it makes me mad just thinking about it. Aha, you meant solid colors. Got it. This one.

Cool man! Bull hide is bad ass I have a pair of Brown bullhide bluchers that Epaulet did with that Calgary boot company I think. They are superb. When they are worn the leather sortof rolls like shell but the rolls dont stay.

Just placed an order for a pair of White's Semi Dress in Vaquero bullhide. They will mostly look like this, but slightly different heel counter shape and with a natural outsole.

How do you guys handle the low rise on the 901 fit? Is it ok or size upp? Contemplating a pair of the BxW yellow selvedge. 31 slim in shockoe(looow) 33 slim and straight in G for example. 30 or 31 in 901? I have found the 901 to be similar to Gustin's Slim cut. In Gustins Slim I wear a 38, in CF 901 I take a 36.

the current state of selvedestyle hi troll This has always been the state of the board. There were always the darlings of the board that could not be touched. As per my statement, you cannot speak poorly of Saint Ciano. Good thing I didn't say the bad thing this time. It is ok, I will leave and you all can stay here in the safe space. If you have an issue with CF then state it. Otherwise this is an infantile personal attack by proxy.

It's been 7 months since I ordered. I've called 3 times and gotten the same reply. I'm sure I'll get them some day but wouldn't order anything else left field or ciano? If it is Ciano, be careful. They don't like it when you say bad things about saint ciano around here. Saint Ciano? CF have been straight up with me. Maybe Dig Dug has had an issue. I'm sure he will tell us.
