Did you have a monster twill from Gustin in hand at any point? I'm curious how the fabrics compare (your close up shots make them look like a similar weave and thickness, which is why I'm curious), mostly because I'm not a huge fan of fuzzy flannel, but the monster twill sort of feels like an unbrushed flannel, which I like a lot. I never did back a Monster Twill although I always thought the fabrics were really cool. I'm not sure what the weight of the Monster Twills are but the IH ultra heavy flannels are 12 oz. I want to say that the Monster Twills were somewhere in the 8-10 oz range. The problem with the monster twill is that they used it for a button down. They have SO MANY amazing fabrics that they should be using on work shirts that they just don't.

One of my new Sugar Cane shirts Paired with my SC42014, of course I think I bid on that exact shirt on eBay. The auction ended at like 2 am so I missed out and I think it sold for less than $40. I really like the look of it. I never got a "red" chambray because they look so pink. This looked like a better option and I'm bummed I missed out.

I was hoping to get a pair of Chinos on Ebay for a good price to see I should buy more. I guess I am not the only one who wants a pair or 2. What size/fabric are you looking for? I was going to list my navy American chino 33 this weekend.

Bananas are also a great accessory but I keep that in my front pocket for special-effects.

Quick update - A load of belts and cardholders went out last week. If you've ordered a belt or cardholder in the last week or so, your belt will go out this coming week. As always, thanks for your patience! The Natural Horween for belts is still en route, the lead time for CXL is reflective of the demand and demand is high. When the Marshdown Empire TM is established and I'm ordering 50 sides at a time, I'm guessing I'll get preferential treatment but for now, thinking patience is my mantra I've nailed down a dopp kit and I'm going to make a few available in the next few weeks, No idea on price yet but these will be full veg tan, hand saddle stitched with a liner to be determined shortly. They'll be nice. Prototype pic attached...(note the PROTO part...there are some unburnished edges and so forth here that will be addressed on production models) there will be some clean up of the handle/loop design but the basic layout is done. The sales model for these will be a bit different. I'll make a small number of them and when they're done I'll put them up here with good pics and folks can decide if they're interested at that time, more of a traditional retail, first come first serve or don't buy if it's not for you model. OK hope everyone is set up for an awesome weekend! Steve Really amazing! it's too bad they aren't ready yet. I'm off to a family medicine rotation on Monday and could use a nice dopp kit.

I was hesitant as well but pulled the trigger when I saw this at Orn Hansen in Portland about a month ago. It's from kiriko. I wear in in my back pocket just barely peeking out. I like the way it looks, personally and I do actually use it.

Unsolicited photo of a custom strap my buddy made for me. Horween CXL with copper rivets that match the face.

Oy, so tempting. I think I'm tapped out for button down oxfords though. How do you like yours bugula? Good enough to see some wear amongst your hoards?

Seriously dont even waste your hard earned money on the Heavyweights at that price guys. Too many other better ptions out there for that weight. Seconded. Case in point, Oni 20 oz unsanforized secret denim for something like $160 on denimio.com. IMO Gustin is great at lower price denim but when they get over ~$140 I would look elsewhere unless it is a fabric you love and can't find elsewhere.

Beautiful. It's against my philosophy to have more than one pair of indigo denim (don't taze my bro!!) but these were too cool to pass up so I grabbed a pair a few weeks ago and it is killing me not to wear them. I've been trying to wear out these G Zimbabwes but the damn things are tough and too cool cool to sell. I may have to make an exception for these unless I want to start wearing them in 2017.

I don't see the downtown Browns come up often at Gustin. They look interesting for sure So rare, and so interesting actually, that you should buy my pair that I have for sale in a size 32 slim Do it. Ask anyone, they are the shit.

I buy large. Their sizing varies quite a bit. The large on the vintage stripe was ridiculously long and I returned it. In retrospect I probably should have warm washed it since it was a linen blend and it would have fit great. The large rail stripe fits amazingly. The Japanese stripe fits baggier but not terrible. Probably what most people on this forum are comfortable with. Edit: I realized I didn't answer your question. I buy TTS. Slim large with Gustin, 42 with Taylor Stitch and Momotaro. what's your build? I wear a large across most brands but of course it varies. i'm 5'11, 175 lbs, 34.5" waist and 38-40" chest and I wear a medium in the Filson Seattle fit cascade shirt. But, there are brands like J.Crew where their standard large shirts fit a little big on my frame, whereas a slim large might work better. but overall, it's size large across the majority of brands. the railstripe looks pretty cool paired with the the jacket and chinos (I presume). I think it's the contrasting colors that make it work. I'm 6'2" 197 lb with a slim build and sort of broad shoulders. 35" waist and 40-42 chest. PA school and age has been chipping away at my former martial artist leanness. I also wear a medium in the cascade shirt (I don't own it but tried it on the last time I stopped at Filson). Those are actually not chinos, they are the Gustin down town brown. IMO brown denim doesn't get enough attention. It goes so well with indigo denim and chambray shirts.

And here is a peak of the rail stripe. I'll post pics that showcase it better later.

And yeah, some of the details are taste specific. I personally love the elbow reinforcements and the pocket within a pocket has a better effect when worn. The two hidden buttons aren't really my thing though.

I'll say that my two TS shirts are both 42 and they fit pretty well. They are a little bigger in the chest than my G slim larges but not grossly so. A 44 would definitely be too big in the chest. I am slim(ish) but definitely not ripped.

Maybe I should try a 40 in TS. Everyone here steered me away from it initially when I said I wear a Large slim in G. I'm worried it will be too short though. How tall are you? I'm 6'2" and nearing 200 lbs

The Shelton is damn pretty. And linen does shrink a lot so take that into account. I just grabbed the red flannel and houndstooth jacket. Pictures to follow soon.

I agree on a non-button down collar and double agree that Taylor Stitch's California collar is perfect. I'd also love to see gustin make henleys and sweat shirts. A long time ago G posted pics of a loopwheeled sweatshirt they wanted to make. I'd forgive them if they made it in Canada as they are technically "American " and it seems that a lot of high quality knits come from there, like the very popular heavy indigo t shirt material.
