Does anyone have any Iron Heart shirting experience? I'm a 40 in TS glacier twill and a 36 or 38 in their oxfords. Tight small in G classic or a slightly baggy medium. Iron Heart's medium seems like it would be too big in the chest, but too small in the shoulders.
Also, when ordering from Rakuten, do you have to size up? The size charts seem smaller than on the Iron Heart UK site.

Can anyone shed some light on shipping charges for a pair of denim or shirt? $20? $25?

That being said, I'm still not sold on IH shirts being worth the money they charge. I will probably pick up one more to try down the road at a Rakuten price but the shirts haven't impressed me like the jeans have. Sacrilege! At the rakuten prices, IH shirts are awesome. Bullet proof. Importantly, they are not much more expensive than Gustin's workshirts, which are not even close quality-wise. I wore the IHSH-07 and was thinking how great it is. What size is your IHSH-07? What size do you wear in Gustin or TS? Wanting to order one on Rakuten and can't decide between small and medium.

Just got the shipping notice for my Italy Sky's, and it's 3-4 weeks earlier than expected. That's 2 early in a row. G seem to be upping their game. I wish I could agree with you, but I still have no shipping notice for my J17's. 16 weeks since backing!

Japan Union Blues are up again in the G shop. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a "vintage" type of blue. Great color, lighter weight, and interesting texture. IMO, the color is pretty close to the example picture. Would back them in a heartbeat if my J17's had shipped. Hopefully they'll ship before these fund.

How would you say the Beckmans run? My iron rangers are 8.5wide Clark desert boots 9 I tried on the Iron Rangers and the Beckmans yesterday. If you are an 8.5 in the IR you are an 8.5 in the Beckmans. That said, the Beckmans were definitely too narrow for me in the D-width and I wear 2E or 3E in everything.

Moved to started topic thread The Mods
I know a lot of you guys make leather products or have a lot of experience caring for your leather.
I have a pair of Danner Quarry's that I just put Danner boot dressing on, but I want a better product for my Veg tan belt/bracelets and my lighter boots (Wolverines) or Iron Rangers.
I've been looking at:
-Obenaufs LP but it seems like that'll darken everything up a lot.
-Neatsfoot oil
-Montana Pitch Blend, but that has mink oil in it and I've read some nasty things at mink oil.
-Pecards
What do you guys use on your boots and belts?

That shirt is tits. I can't find a sizing chart though. There isn't one. Found a company that sells their stuff and the measurements they had seemed similar to G's classic fit sizing, just a little shorter (inch or two) .

Does anyone have experience with this brand? I think their styling is second to none but I tried on a couple of their shirts the last time I was in Portland and they were really light fabric for $200 (they were the western oxford and one of the flannels). I wanted to find the chambray or one of the printed flannels but no luck. I have no experience with their stuff, but this shirt looks amazing: freenotecloth.com/products/double-pocket-classic-plaid-yellow

Just found a pair of Women's Iron Rangers in my girlfriend's size on E-bay for $200. She now is the proud owner of a like new pair of brown IRs. Super jealous. Now if only someone with wide feet would sell their 8.5's.

Based on fit guide you should be fine with small. Don't let my pics fool you, there is plenty of room in the chest on that shirt it just might not show in the photo because of the black fabric. Okay, that's good to know. Small it is. Thanks guys.

L Gustin t-shirt; Loomies: What's your height and weight and chest measurement? i'm debating on picking up a three pack of the T's. I am 5'8, 160, with a 37" chest. I am thinking I want to get a small because a 4.5" difference in shirt and chest size seems too big to me for a t-shirt. That said, looking at that fit picture and your chest measurements compared with the G fit guide, I feel like a small will be too small for me.

Yeah that was on the slubs too. It looks like a whole batch of denim got botched I wonder if the jeans are f!@ked up and they have to be remade/are getting cancelled or if the production has just been super slow.

I just got bleach on my Okys :-( :-( not a few drops either, a f*cking blob. I ran to the sink with them, but too late... To make lemonade out of my lemons I'm going to go at them with some sandpaper, see if I can't fade the bleach spot out to look like wear and tear, and take it from there. This is going to take forever, as I'm going to have to make the whole pair look worn enough to make that spot fit in. I know people get angry about intentionally fading your jeans, but it's either this or bin them. Ahh man. That sucks. Good luck.

So a thought came to me today when I was reading the discussion on Styleforum about Gustin carrying stock. While I don't agree with them stocking items on the regular, I do think they need to somehow alleviate the uncertainty of backing an item and waiting 3 months to see if it fits. The idea of sizing through the stock store or Ebay is silly to me because nobody wants to hassle with reselling items that don't fit. Plus, G doesn't benefit from me buying an item via EBay.
Anyways, my thought was this. Why not make 5 of each type of item in all sizes and keep them on hand. Not 5 of each fabric, just 5 pairs of jeans, chinos, shirts, coats etc to sPec. Hell, you could make them out of cheap bullshit fabric to cut costs. If someone wants to try a size, they can "rent" the try on pair. They pay shipping (2 day priority mail) and have 10 days to return the item. Pre-authorize their credit card for $100, only charge if you don't get the item back.
This would make sizing easier and lead to more sales. In my case, if I knew they fit well, I'd have ordered 4 more pairs of jeans and 3 shirts by now. It would also be sort of a pain in the ass for G, but less so than a customer waiting months to figure out a size.
Thoughts?

Sent another email on the J17's today. They're gonna hate me. Has to suck to be a customer service rep for G right about now.
