It appears to have been a calculated move of some kind, but one that had nothing to do with actually getting our items to us.

I bought a pair but I'm not participating Aw man...why not? well for starters, since these are shrink to fit, I plan to do a cold soak in the tub with me in them, but with the current freezing cold winter temps, that ain't happening right now. Then, I don't plan on washing them more than a couple times a year, so they won't won't be fading anytime soon either

I have red wings, wolverine, and Alden indys. My pair is not close to any of those. But as has been mentioned you can get close to $200 with sales, deals, eBay etc. My only other consideration for natural boot was OSB but that's not in the same price range. For what it's worth my pair is as nice and on par with my Red Wing Beckman Chukkas. Red Wings aren't perfect btw, I had to return the first pair because the heels literally peeled in half on both boots

I got my boots in dark brown yesterday and they are awesome. And the fit is perfect too. If it helps anyone, I went with my exact size in Chuck Taylors and that was the right call.

Anyone try their long sleeve T-Shirts? How are they? Are the thin of somewhat substantial? And how are the neck holes, are they large and stretched out looking?

Not Gustin related but wasn't sure where to post this. Just bought something off Global Rakuten for the first time. When I got the paypal receipt I noticed it was to a non-Japanese person's name, and it was a name coming from a country that tons of counterfeit goods come out of. I looked at their profile and they had good reviews, and they have a Japanese address but they also had a pic of a storefront that didn't look Japanese in the slightest. But I guess I'll get my answer of where it came from after the package arrives. Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with counterfeit goods on GR. The item was a pair of Buzz Rickson gloves btw. Here's the URL: global.rakuten.com/en/store/frisbee/item/10001094/

Have not heard anything or received anything after posting order in the other thread. I remember last Christmas I was hoping to possibly receive my order... "hope's the rope that keeps you tied in knots"

wasn't it around this time last year when a bunch of items got screwed up more than usual and G responded that they found out the 'normal cutter' was out on vacation? from here on out G should probably hold the factory accountable (seems unlikely based on history) or just shut down their production Nov-Jan (also unlikely). in lieu of that i'd probably refrain from backing anything that is being produced through that time frame. That's right lol! That was what they told me in an email in response to me complaining about one of my shirts. Problem is, all the shirts I bought had the problem, and they weren't all produced during that small window they described. I guess their cutter has been on one long vacation

I think their goal was to get everyone to wait another year without filing a complaint, and to get those that filed complaints to withdraw them

Behold, the site editor hijacked the sewing machine. I read complaints about the plaid not lining up and was like meh, but this is rubbish lol. Zoinks! That kind of stuff makes me doubt I'll ever buy a patterned G shirt. Does anyone know if this is common (but normally pulled by QC) or are these sewers just on a different level? Yes, it's not only common, it's just they way they produce shirts. What is uncommon is a G shirt that does not have this issue. I've bought maybe 6 of their shirts and I returned them all for this reason. That was about a year ago, and the shirt pictured here is recent. So it's obvious they just do not care and have no intention to correct the issue

Most everyone recommends inside out especially in the washer if you are going for high contrast fades. As old26 suggested tub soaking you wouldn't think it would make that much difference. I haven't washed any of my indigo jeans in the washer but have my selvedge shirts which I turn inside out. Inside out makes sense for the washing machine, but I'm wondering if inside out in the tub for it's initial soak might not be a great idea. I'm thinking because the dye coming off would be trapped, marinating the warp, patch, stitching etc. Outside out, the dye would at least be floating away somewhat and wouldn't be as concentrated. Just my theory though, which is why I asked.

Nothing more expensive for me. If anything I'd just go back to buying Levi 501s
But - I have enough jeans now to last me the rest of my life

Question for you guys...when you soak/wash your jeans, are you turning them inside out? Inside out, or outside in, which gives the best results?

Who has experience with both Gustin Straight and Slims? Pondering trying the slim on my 21's. Likely not a good idea in my current state... Slims/Skinny is a really corny look on any man over the age of 22 who's not built rail thin with 0% body fat

Do you guys ever buy multiples of the same patterned shirts? Due to the haphazard way they sew them up, each is a one of a kind. No two are the same. So it's like two different shirts!
