Did anyone else order their Okayama True? www.weargustin.com/store/5144Mine came today and they are nothing like advertised. First, the blue n red ID. Mine have all blue on one leg, and all red on the other, not blue n red together as pictured. Second, they are NOT slubby in the slightest. The denim is very tightly woven and smooth with no neppies anywhere. Third, there is no "yellow cast" to the weft. It's stark white. As white or whiter than any other pair I have. Overall, they look like a pair of standard Cone Mills. Can anyone else who got a pair weigh in?

Email him about it. He'll do a re-do for you. Although, I'm still waiting on a re-do myself and it's taken awhile.

What's he doing as standard now on rear pocket size and spacing on the jeans? I remember some people thought they were too small and spaced too far apart awhile back. Is that still the case?

Got my cone 16s. They are a half size under spec in 33 slims. They fit like skinny jeans. Not like Gustin skinny toothpick fit but actually wearable skinny jeans I think that's common with heavier denim. My Japan One Sevens and Blue 17's are both .5" under spec in the waist. Everything else is fine right when you need them to be at least on spec if not a little bigger, they give you less. how convenient. Mine went straight back for a refund BTW

I'm new enough to the raw denim thing to have just realized that they will shrink 1" in the waist from their 'original' measurement after about 3 washes, regardless of how much they stretched out due to wearing. I'm a true 36, and so this means I need a 37" raw. Thought ordering a Gustin 36 would be the ticket. Used to order 35, and 99% of what I received from them marked 35 was bang-on 36". It was freaking frustrating thinking I finally figured this out, ordered a 36, and having it come at 36" - the same as their size 35.

Can anyone comment on whether they have received their jeans in actual 1 inch sizing increments? I know they TAG their sizes in 1 inch increments, but does their factory actually sew them up in 1 inch increments?
For example, I recently switched from buying their Straight in size 35 to 36. My 35's always came in measuring at the waist at 36". Just received my first pair from them in size 36, and it also measures 36", same as size 35.
So I'm wondering if their sizes go tagged size 33 or 34 actual waist 34", tagged size 35 or 36 actual waist 36", 37 or 38 actual waist 38, etc. as in 33 and 34 are the same size, 35 and 36 are the same size, 37 and 38 are the same size, etc.

Just received my pair of 16 oz natural dye cones. Correct size on the tag, but the actual jeans are a full size too small

It'll fund. i've learned not to question those with horrible taste. Don't know who's wearing red denim or why, but it's definitely an eyesore I almost talked myself into the oxblood with the white weft. When I saw the new red I was more easily able to resist, but it does look better than the white weft stuff and I'd buy it if I summered on the East coast. That houndstooth is just bad. My light blue indigo T funded today so yayy me? The Oxblood 2's are great. I was nervous when I ordered them, but they are cool. They're not really red red, more of a dark dried-blood color red. They definitely do not have a look that would make people say, hey look at the guy in the red pants, if that's what you're worried about

Well, call me a sucker but I just backed a pair
I went from a definite haha no way, to ordering when I remembered that the G loomstates are my favorite fit, and thought, 'you know I really should be grabbing anything appealing in a loomstate they offer'. Normally I wear a G 35 straight, so a 38 straight in loomastate comes in right about a true 36 in the waist which happens to be perfect for me.
By far the most I've spent on a pair of jeans, and I don't plan on making a habit of it.
To offset the cost I'll be selling my Natural 2's, size 35 straight, just one cold soak on them. If anyone wants them, PM me. I support this in the name of science! I won't be posting pics. Would Clint Eastwood's man with no name, Sean Connery's Bond, or Hugh Jackman's Wolverine post pics of their jeans on a jeans forum?? We're already silly enough just writing to each other like this. Those guys are the blue-print guys, we need to aspire to be like them!
