After drip drying all night and about 9 hours outside in a breeze and sun, these are now dry and here's a fit pic, worn with green Tricker's Stow boots with orange Dainite soles and a green Equus belt to liven them up. The waist came down from 35" to 34" as planned, and the inseam down from 35" to 34.5", so bearable. They feel ridiculously stiff to carry, but once they're on, they actually feel quite good. I think a double cuff on denim this thick and stiff would look pretty wide and stupid, so the single cuff is working for me. Now begins the task of beating them into submission, but my initial verdict is that these are a good buy, they feel good, the workmanship is fine and I'm glad I got them. Very nice. Looks like a double or single cuff would work with that length. The Trickers go well with the black.

Anyone have any recent email contact with CF lately? I haven't had any luck. I know they are busy catching up and don't want to spend too much time on emails. I'm wondering because I think I'd like to alter my 23oz order and I figure if they haven't started mine yet that it won't delay my order. I am guessing no one has received the indigo 23 oz still?

Yes. He's working away. Got an email just this morning.

Yup, heard from him this morning. Give him a call.

Has anyone gotten the indigos yes? I've only seen the black-black. I put in an order for the indigo 23 oz, but haven't heard from Ciano about its status. Especially want to get in touch with them as I've moved and changed banks so need to give them new information. So hopefully Ciano will respond (sent e-mails but never got a response) to this post.

Heard back from CF last night. My order of 23oz indigo is finishing this week! Hoping to put in a few tweaks so they are perfect and then beating them into submission during the winter.

Talked with Ciano earlier in the week and they sent my pair on Saturday.

Anyone get their indigo 23 oz pair yet? Post up a picture if you have. I made some slight alterations to mine so I believe it's putting me behind a little more but I'd rather wait a little longer for a prefect fitting pair over the alternative.

Update: my jeans are in the mail. Should be here soon. Bad news: they didn't get my emails about moving so unless I get ahold of them I'll be chasing it down at my old address

Seems like there is a common issue of lack of communication via email with cianofarmer. I've sent two emails both of which have not been replied to.

Also seems well documented that Ciano answers his phone more than his emails. I have a guy that builds custom bicycles for me, fugger won't respond to emails, but always answers his phone. Seems like Ciano is the same.

Seems like an internet based company who sells their products on the internet would be keen to reply to emails consistently and promptly.

Seems like an internet based company who sells their products on the internet would be keen to reply to emails consistently and promptly. Angrily yelling at a duck to be a chicken isn't going to make the duck a chicken. Call or don't call, but not calling is to ignore the multiple times he's asked that people call if they have concerns, questions, or have had an email missed. None of us are looking to make excuses for him, just relaying what's been said here.

It does, but we're talking about a two person shop, not a huge manufacturer. Give him a call. I'd rather they're actually making shit than scanning the interwebs. Roman is probably online right now...

Two man shop or not, to not be on top of emails when you operate an internet based business in this day and age is not good business IMO. Wake up and check and reply to emails first thing in the morning...done. Seems more efficient than spending more time on phone calls, especially if you are a two man operation.

Just noticed that Ciano's doing the Type 3 and maybe the other jackets in 23oz black and indigo, which could be interesting. Has anybody ordered one?
Come to that, has anyone got any CF Type 2 or 3 yet? I'm curious about the fit on the first run, and any tweaks that might be necessary, similar to what happened with the car coat.

As i said in the work shirt thread, I'd be all over the type 3 if the wait wasn't so long. Great idea but the customization feature just kills it.

Not in the 23oz but I have a sample lined Type III with corduroy accents to nail the fit on the one I'm having made. Here are the measurements of the sample I got and my suggested alterations: MEDIUM SLIM FIT (customized) Chest: 22.5 (perfect) Waist: 20 (adjust to 20.5) Length HPS: 26 (perfect) Length CB: 25 (perfect) Sleeve CB: 35.5 (perfect) Shoulder: 18.5 (perfect) Armhole: 11 (adjust to 11.25) Bicep: 8.25 (perfect) Cuff: 5 (perfect) Other things to adjust: cuff width should be 2 inches (was 1.25) with just a single button, sleeve lining should be rayon or another smooth fabric, collar should be 3 inches at the back of the neck and taper to 2.5 inches at the points (collar on the sample looked way too large almost 1970s and was 4 inches in the back and 3.25 inches at the point). I also reduced the forearm, but don't remember to what. MEDIUM SLIM FIT (default) 44" CHEST 42" BOTTOM OPENING 24 1/2" LENGTH H.P.S. 35 1/2" SLEEVE LENGTH 17" SHOULDER [ H.P. ARMHOLE SEAM] 11" [22"] ARM HOLE [STRAIGHT ] 9 1/2" [19"] BICEP 7 1/4" [15"] FOREARM 5 1/2" [11"] CUFF OPENING

jbreitenbucher, will your measurements become default? In particular, I agree with your shoulder. On my medium Brando, the shoulder at 15 or 15.5" was way too narrow. And when's it arriving?

wdw I'm not sure. I would imagine not, because it is lined and some allowance is being made for that. But I think Ciano might be persuaded to reduce some of the measurements. I'm not sure how close to average for a slim fit I am, but I think the shoulder, bicep, and cuff should be adjusted more in line with the measurements I am doing and maybe the bottom opening.

jbreitenbucher, I look forward to seeing it. But as gaseousclay says, the wait is the killer for me. A guaranteed 2 months max with good dims would be tempting, but no more.

Bastards must have been monitoring me and heard my complaining. Didn't deliver today after all. So at this point the BR n1 I ordered from Japan on Friday will probably get here on Monday along with my CF jeans that started their journey in Texas.
