Potato cam pics of my PHB and BrownxBlack after the tailor. Took some width out of the bottom half of the body and cut about an inch and a half of length. I like the fit much better now and they still offer some room when buttoned up. I'm 6-2 185 lbs and these are slim XL's. Man, I'm the exact same height/weight and my L Slim Zim fits perfectly. Good to hear. I was spooked by the fit chart based on my previous experience with G shirts and the chart vs reality but maybe the workshirts came more true to the chart. Sounds like you trusted the chart and it worked out. The tailor money you saved can go to Duc accessories!

I'm 6'2" and 180 lbs and my large slim is a little too slim in the chest for me. So anyway, there's another data point...

exophobe, yes he did. He grumbled a little about it but he did. Funny thing I forgot to mention, he remarked that the shirt maker had forgotten to trim the extra runoff thread. I said "oh they did that on purpose, some people like it". He looked at me, looked at the runoff and said in his heavy Thai accent, "stupid". No more runoff for me, it was removed by the tailor. I was going to burn it back anyway. I'd have just snagged it on something if I left it there. Tell your tailor I am intrigued by his ideas and wish to subscribe to his newsletter.

Sorry for the crap photos but I have what I could only describe as wannabe Ebola and I don't feel like getting the good camera out. Nice fit! I hope your tailor doesn't charge you like mine.... my Wabisabi shirt with the alternation to make it wearable is costing more than this COMME des GARÇON shirt. I feel so fuxxing dumb now. shop.havenshop.ca/collections/sale-items/products/cotton-check-raised-green-yellow-whiteDon't beat yourself up too much. Anyone could look at that COMME des GARÇON shirt and fleetingly believe it might be a good idea to wear something like that before coming to their senses. It happens.

you put Gustin above GARÇON? LOL Im gonna guess it's less to do with the brand and more to do with the back panel of completely different fabric.

@stevekas, MiddleAge, DigDug or anyone else who has had a tailor shorten your G work shirt.... I really need to do the same on my PHB (my Wabisabi shrank enough that I think I can get away with it as is). But one question before I go down this road... did your tailors try to raise up the gusset (my guess is that would be tough to pull off)? Or simply leave it be and shorten the hem below the gusset? Thanks, guys.

My tailor offered either option. The trouble with moving the gusset is it's triple needle surgery so he said it would be more $ to shorten the shirt that way. The other option is to just shorten the hem by changing the curvature and keeping the gussets in place. I actually wanted the front and rear hem shortened and the gussets left alone so the less expensive alternative was better in my case. One thing that bugs me about Gustin shirts is the front and rear hems can be too long but you can lift your arms and the side gussets can ride up above your belt. I hate that.

Thanks, guys. Marc, my tailor charged me $65 that includes reposition the gusset. However, it is more to the reason of fixing the width of the shirt and not the length. If I only need to shorten mine, I will probably not touch it IF ONLY the shirt bottom doesn't look unnatural. Frankly, even my tailor is good, the shirt still does not constructed as good as the originally untouch. Hope this help.

Yeah, I think I'll be conservative and leave the gusset be. Just have my tailor shorten the hem a bit.

Just swooped a med Wabisabi from stock, super excited :-) Good luck to you. If I can do it all over again, I will not buy my Wabisabi WS and it is as close to my dumbest clothing purchase ever. It is only better than the ...... G Hickory Strip work shirt.

I wore my Wabisabi to the FC Barcelona game today. I'm pretty confident that I represented the only Gustin clothing there

It was totally random that I was there. My job sent my to Barcelona for a week and I happened to see that there was a game when I had some free time. It was very cool even though they got blanked 0-1. I was surprised that there were a decent amount of empty seats for the game, although the place does hold an incredible 100K fans.

Got my Cone 101 WS to stand up on its own today Edit: Gave it a cold wash then hung dry to shrink it. The body tighten up a bit which is what I wanted. Didn't think I could make 12.5 oz stand up. Really crunchy now

I received the Postal Herringbone workshirt yesterday and it seems as if it's well made. I like the fabric with its starchy and heavy feel though the arm holes are a tad small. Ill try to get pictures out but I'm a modest one. The size I got is a medium classic and thankfully I did that as opposed to a large slim.

This thread will never be the same without wils. It should be retired in his honour.
Or somehow washed then endlessly tailored.

What happened to him? (If it's the same guy). His WS posts, while in many ways annoying, were a study in insanity. And quite entertaining to read. He seemed like a good guy, just a bit obsessed (like most of us).

Winterland posted the following in another thread: wills/middleage deleted his account of his own accord. He had had some complaints about some of his posts and we talked to him about it. Not even an official warning. We think he over reacted, but it is his choice.

He was not banned and we did not ask him to leave but he made that decision all on his own. I think he'll be back.

I freaking love it. It might be a tad long but I suspect will be about perfect after a wash. Seems to fit more like my slim xl shirts though. One thing I was concerned about before getting was "tonal thread" . Interestingly enough, it's tonal to the weft of the fabric which is more contrast to the postal blue warp. The pictures express this pretty well.
