I'm starting to think the workshirt would have been better with hand pockets. Man, bums me out when I see a good stasche, I had to give up on my mine after 5 months. I couldn't deal with the smell and the constant upkeep. I'm a drinker too and after a night out it looked awful from dipping into my pint. I envy anyone with the patience. Isn't everything better with hand pockets?

bclark, the fit on yours is good! It might be one of the only ones I have seen where the length looks pretty much spot on. I think if I had went with the Classic Medium it would have probably fit a lot like yours. My Classic Large is wearable but a bit big for my liking. It is a thick denim so it might be better as it wears. Hot washed and dried mine twice and it didn't shrink at all.

I'm 6ft 155lbs. The sleeves are slightly long but I roll them out of personal preference not necessity. I grabbed a Medium Slim in my IxI and the layered shirt is a super lightweight SS popover with no undershirt. 2oz at absolute max 6ft 155lbs sounds like the prototypical Gustin model size. Guess workshirts are definitely out of the picture for me.

bclark, I was on the fence about my postal HB...overshirt or shirt. I think I'm going to shorten it now and possibly check into taking it in a bit in the waist. I don't want to lose the triple needle side seam though so taking the waist in is a maybe. Good fit!

Thanks for the comments guys both about the shirt and moustache (in my 5th year with it).
Overall I'm a fan of both of them other than the shit buttons but it's likely unless one happens into a magic package that I don't pay for I won't be buying anymore work shirts until they are truly squared away with production.

Any of you guys going to send your WabiSabi shirt out to be shortened? I will be (BUT NOT WITH THE LOCAL TAILOR!). What do you think of sending it to LD? I'd like to and I'm sure they'd do a great job. But I have concerns, will it take 3,4 days, weeks, months? Will I get it back (are they organized to know who sent it and where to send it back)? Any thoughts?

Trying to avoid having to add to the The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly series you got going, huh? I had a "Fist Full of Dollars" to pay them "For a Few Dollars More" to be done right! But now I sit on "Heart Break Ridge". It's like they had "The Rookie" do it and sewed them "Every Which Way But Lose"! I could have "Hang Them High" for what they did, its "Unforgiven"! As I drove away I was like a "Pale Rider" or a "High Plains Drifter". "The OutLaw Jose Wales" wasn't as angry as I was with what they did to my WS!

After I picked it up I went to the Barber and to work digging in the dirt. By the time I got home my HBone WS was all "Dirty Harry".

Heavy Black Work shirt. No soaks or washes in Small Slim. This is my third wear I think, I grabbed it when it popped up on the Stock page and haven't looked back. My only complaint is the lack of extra buttons and the fact that I'm absolutely going to have to resew every one of them. It's nice too because my IxI I wear as an overshirt and this is a normal shirt. Nice fit. This is the Japan black correct?

What do you think of sending it to LD? Yes, they should be able to get the job done well + at a reasonable cost. This is what I would do. I just received my Lawless IxI western shirt that I ordered too long, my fault and also an Iron Heart shirt that were both shortened by Lawless. They did a great job. Looks great. I don't wear many shirts untucked except for these heavy shirts, thermals etc. so I like them on the shorter side. I gave them the measurements and also put blue painters tape on the spot to make for no mistakes. It did take a few weeks but that was fine with me as I know they are busy. I would email them asking about turnaround time on doing a shortening if you are concerned about the time frame. I will post some pictures later but will probably do it in the Lawless Custom thread. Will post a link here too.

Got the Wabisabi today. Will just say it's not a disappointment from a materials perspective.

I grabbed a Slim in this one and like it better than the classic but it's still long and boxy. I don't mind the boxiness for this type of shirt and have decided that I'll be wearing these over other shirts as intended whereas my other workshirts I wear as a single.

I cannot tell how much I regrett on not getting slim cut on the Wabisabi WS. Mind to possible some photos of the fabric or the shirt?

I'll post some later the week, excited to see how gigantic it's gonna be on me, but it is the slim cut, so it should be a good baseline for comparing the slim xxl to the classic xl. I'll likely need to try to shrink it a bit.

Did G change the fit such that the slims have a smaller chest:waist than the classic fit? Last I checked the classic was technically slimmer.
