Just opened my Zimbabwe work shirt and I am not happy. I am pressed for time at the moment, but will follow up soon.

Just tossed mine in the washer for a second "hot wash". Hopefully it will shrink.

My zim WS is finally going to be here today. I guess USPS priority is experiencing its holiday slow down because it took 4 days instead of 2-3. Will report back with a fit pic since nobody else has put one up.

Sent in an email to cancel the cone 101 workshirt. Don't think the fit will work for me. Oh well. Anyone wanna buy $170ish worth of Gustin credit?

I think people can make it work but I think it is a losing battle to look good in it. You are even more fit than I do and I think the width will be too much.

Can ya'll just simmer down until my Wabisabi shows up and I can form my own negative opinions? At this rate I'm going to build an eternal flame in my mailbox...

yep, that and if you look at every other button, the top and bottom holes are vertically straight while that one single pocket is slightly spun. like i said, it's small but the details make the difference. Button alignment? This is a factory made denim work shirt. Nothing more. My factory made $25 flanels have aligned buttons. And button guarantee.

Canceled it. Gustin added credit into my account $171 to use.

Just opened my Zimbabwe work shirt and I am not happy. I am pressed for time at the moment, but will follow up soon. Thought I better get this review of my Gustin Zimbabwe work shirt (large, classic) before I get my ass thrown out of here for insubordination.
With all the hand-wringing, weeping and gnashing of teeth with respect to the Gustin work shirt I was a little apprehensive when I broke out the Sebenza to open the package that supposedly contained my Gustin Zimbabwe work shirt. As I indicated above I was not happy, I was F---king ecstatic!!!!
First of all, all of the buttons were ALL very securely sewn on and all were centered in their button holes. I have no problem with the size of the buttons or the quality. Frankly, I don't understand what the issue is with the button size, is it an aesthetic or functional issue?
The fabric is beautiful and like Gustin said is truly deserving of being the first denim used for their work shirts. I love the contrast stitching color and would not desire any other color.
What really jumped out at me is the workmanship and uniformity of stitching and construction. There are no "wavy" stitches, period! I really like the fact that the spacing between the stitching on the cuffs, collar, placket, and pockets is narrow and perfectly straight, everywhere.
I am a medium in most shirts but need a large in Gustin OCBD to fit me as I am accustomed. As I will actually use this shirt as a true "work shirt," I appreciate the fact that the tails are long enough so that when I tuck it in it will stay tucked in. I also appreciate the fact that is has enough girth so that it will not bind when bending, reaching and turning when I am "working." I guess I would refer to the fit as a "working man's " fit versus a "Saturday night poseur" fit.
So in closing, I look forward to future Gustin work shirt offerings and have no problem paying the current asking price.

Good to hear that. I hate hearing of people spending a lot, waiting a long time, and getting disappointment. Would like some pics of course...

Slim large Zimbabwe work shirt. Love the quality, triple stitching, selvedge details and the 10 oz denim. I like the fit, but don't love it. It's too long by about 2" or so in my opinion. On the other hand, when I got off my Ducati and inspected my dual denim look I felt like I should have been on a Harley.

Your shirt probably fits the best out of most of the G's work shirt photos that I have seen. I do agree with you on the length and the shirt needs to be tucked/tailor.

The Zim workshirts are looking pretty damn awesome from where I'm sitting! I think these are going to be the Gustin shirts showing up with "ohhhh shit" level fades in a year. Fits are all over the map depending on tastes etc. Not even touching that, to each their own. Sold my Wabi Sabi today and changed the shipping address at Gustin's site. That sounded really philosophical. Anyway, three months of waiting, wondering and being excited and then delivery week comes and I hand it off to someone else. Hell, there could be a free denim cardholder in there and I wouldn't ever know Now I know how surrogate mothers feel. I feel like the Sakebomber (credit to Old26) will be beautiful but she was not meant to be mine.

I bought mine even though I had last year's X too. I just couldn't resist the shiny. Good pics though. Maybe the waist size will shrink? Don't know if anyone else has seen that in their WS. Their regular shirts fit oddly enough on me, I don't see myself laying out the $$$ for a WS. But I keep looking anyway.

some more fit pics...roomy as hell around the gut...gonna go after slim fit if any other workshirts catch my eye. I do need to give this a few wears though to start breaking it in...the chestburster effect I'm getting (I don't want to even think of myself as being pregnant) could diminish (but then again, I'm seeing the same thing in their other shirts). My shirt looks exactly like yours before my "treatment". Actually the length gave me more trouble than the waist. Luckily, after two washes, the shirt shrink at least 3 inches off the length and I am now good. Hope yours will do the same.
