This new "Cup Cake" generation is going to be our down fall. The 20 and younger just dont care about anything. Someone (parents, teachers, coaches, etc) have told them that they are All Wimners (No, some of you are losers!). I was a loser in school (never won anything and wasnt really good at anything), But that's what drove me to do better. Now everyone's a winner and gets a "Cup Cake"!!!! I think the current generation of under-20-somethings is, for the most part, unfairly maligned. Sure, there are outliers that feel they are privileged, but for the most part this generation of children are just like those that came before them. Frankly, I think most of them look at our generation and wonder why we continue to do the things that will ultimately render the planet uninhabitable. They think we started a world-wide perpetual tire fire and have no interest in putting it out. |

All whining about the latest generation does is foster ill will and encourage generation gaps. if current us politics can be considered representative of anything, it's that assholes and entitlement occur in every generation. This isn't something that's new with gen X or gen y. |

I agree we want to stay out of political discussions. I can see it stirring things up. I think everyone understands and wants the same.
It is a fine line of course and most of the discussions here so far seem fine.
Will keep an eye on the thread.

I grew up in a neighboring town to this. Clearly I moved out before the fun started. |
