No I have seen it and it's really nice work but I didn't feel there was market for it. it's all hand dyed. I need to make a correct it's not from India it's from Indonesia.

Do you have a picture? I'm sure there's a market for anything interesting/unusual/hand made amongst this crowd.

ok you guys name these denims. Here's an idea (maybe your a boxing fan) put out the denim in classes based on weight in ounces ***Lightest*** Featherweight (6-9 oz) Lightweight (10-12 oz) Middleweight (13-16 oz) Heavyweight (17-20 oz) SuperHeavyweight (21+ oz) ***Heaviest*** And then you could add specifics to each fabric (ex. Italian Sioux Lightweights. ---> Candiani mill Sioux stretch 11oz)

Hi Roman....I know that denim from Japan and Cone mills are the hot fabrics everyone wants, but I have heard, that counties like Indonesia and Turkey, make some nice denim. Would love to see some fabric from places like that.

Turkey is producing some really nice denims. The handmade denim from Indoneisa is pretty sick. I was going to get some just for me. I'll see what I can do.

so how about an option of normal non-snap buttons on the plain shirt? Mother of pearl and dark brown?

Griffin we are making that available next week. Here is no challenge. I can do faux pearl and metal button. I like really mother of pearl buttons but if bring those in from Italy and they are very expensive. About $2.50 a button after Shipping. we need 12 button on average for a shirt. thats $30.00 in buttons before we get started. See my challenge/ How do you guys feel about that. These are the best natural buttons around. If we where charging $200.00 on up then I could see using mother of pearl and spending the money on that type of button. I just don't want to be that expensive. If I can find a good mother of pearl at a far price that could be an option. I also have to get a permit from fish and game to bring them into the country.

I don't think you need spend lots of money on buttons. Possibly you could have a selection but most people I imagine wouldn't be that interested in paying a lot for them, there is nothing wrong with some cat's eye corozo buttons or similar

I dont need the fancy bottons. As cheap as possible but stil ok look is what im after.
What I do want is an option of light and dark to match tonal or to do contrast as I see fit based on fabric. I just dont want the white to be all white so it looks like plastic. A little marble (but subtle) of some sort is preferable just to make it not look plastic.
Metal sounds really cool on the dark.
I will then wait for this to come online bc I dont think I can rock the cowboy-looks of the snaps where I live.

Roman, transparency like this is one of the things I really like about the way you are running Lawless. Thanks.

I agree some color options is important. a marbles white, a brown and a black button. I tried to upload images but the forum server is having issues.

Back to the concept of naming the Lawless denim, I think most are used to the "color dominant" naming convention (we discussed this the other night), but I think you should stay true to the current naming format - it's helping to educate us on the mills and how to properly identify fabrics if we see them outside of other sites. I do think it's valuable to call out special features like a special ID or something with the pattern (herringbone for example), but overall I like your naming convention.
As for buttons, I had no idea they were so pricey. I think I'm going into the button business.

I also like seeing the money go towards quality, and fabrics, and not necessarily on packaging. As long as it gets to me intact, thats all I care about. I like keeping the costs down, and really don't need super expensive buttons that no one will probably know, or tell the difference. I think this is what brought us all here in the first place.

Good information gentleman. We will change shipping ASAP. as for the button I will use a high quality button. The true mother of pearl will be out of the current pricing structure but I would like to revisit that at another time. I agree that a better description of the fabric is important. I'm still up in the air about the names of the fabric. I'm a bit of a minimalist and like just the fact.

As items roll out, Roman, it'd be great to see photos of the actual product too. I don't think you have to go all out and get them modeled but just some shots of the finished goods would be great and also give a bit more detail about the material used.
