Hey moderators : as the review thread is full of non review comments etc... I thought, it could be a nice idea to create a thread specific for lawless denim chino.
If you don't think it is a good idea, feel free to move this thread in the good one.
Here is the review for that : (new site order #272, 3rd Nov 2014, sent 25 weeks later 26th april 2014, received 06th may 2015). I'm from France...
15.2 oz. Cone Selvedge Men's Chino
Chino Style: Reagan
Chino Fit: Straight Leg
Waist: 36, Inseam (inches): 35
Chino Buttons: Metal Button Gun Metal
Thread Color: Dark Green
Jeans Fly: Button Fly
Pocket Liner: Pink houndstooth Canvas
I wanted to compare to the pictures online but i just realize that chinos are not anymore on option on lawless site...
For the jeans, the only option is the $69 jeans.
I changed the size from 35 to 36 and they made the change (it was the time when sal was in charge of the CS !!!) and very happy with that.
It was a little bit large first but after a warm soak, it feels better. I wear my jeans larger than some of you and in a straight fit...
I wanted to change the inseam too (from 35 to 34) 3-4 month ago but sal was not able to do it as they print the order and could not change it !!!
I would prefer the 34 inseam as i usually simple cuff my pants but it is ok for 35... i double cuff.
here is the bath water after the soak, i think it bleeds as usual...
The fit pics
I think that the belt loops are a little bit too close to the button fly.
I really love the chino front pockets : bigger and easier to get my hands in. They are so much usefull than my gustin or ciano farmer 5 pockets jeans ones...
Tha back : i really like the green stiching, it is a little bit funky but not too much. But i think with this dark color, we don't see a lot the pockets design. I like the pockets design so yellow/orange stiching would be better for that. i don't know... i'm 50/50 for the green stiching...
There is a little brown patch (that was not on the lawless site picture) but it is no problem for me. After a soak, the "LD&Co" write on the patch is almost invisible...
the famous Pink houndstooth Canvas Of course, LD contacted to ask me for the canvas change... No, just kidding !!!
The stiching are pretty straight and good in general. The button holes are not perfect and this is a not so straight stich !!!
The cuff stich is regular and not chainstich : i don't know why, i prefer chainstich but with the cuff, we can't see it. I don't know if it is specific to chinos.
It is not a triple inseam stich but a regular double one. I thought it would be a triple one like on the 5 pockets model. I would prefer triple, it is a little more original. Once again, i don't know if double stiching inseam is specific for chinos...
Overall, i'm pretty happy with this chino. It is my first cone mills pant. It is prety different from the japan fabrics i'm more used to. I'm very impatient to see how it will fade.
