www.redcottondenim.comOne man shop - hand creating a handful of pairs a day for sale via his site. I was pretty hyped up to get these and they arrived today in indigo. I went with the slim tapered and the fit is very good. I have some complaints about them but overall I'm impressed with the quality and cut quite a bit. Issues: - Cuffed and found a dark mark at the fold of the cuff on the front of the leg - Rear pockets are biiiiiig - aaaaand the kicker not mentioned on the product listing or page...a zipper fly

Honestly I love seeing brands like this. I almost always want to back someone like this compared to some guy who had everything clicking from the start as in money to make sure everything is in order. They look pretty damn clean from the pics

agree...love the story and process. the fit looks great on you. i think the zip fly and the 4 pocket (high front pocket) design might keep me away.

Yeah, the story hooked me - love the rear marketing: "3 to 4 pairs of jeans made daily by one dude".
If button flys come into the picture, I'll grab a pair of the black.

Was checking the fit guide, and sorry to say his straights are too small in the thighs. That, and zippers for sure won't work for me at this point, but he could be planning to bring more offerings at a later time. Good luck to him.

I think the sizing is wrong because the slim straights have the exact same measurements as the slim taper

bugula - is the rise of the jeans as high as it looks on the website pics? It just looks oddly higher or is it just the picture? Comparatively- how is that to other denim you have? +1 Dirty Denim - I agree with your logic of supporting the smaller guys.

It's a good mid rise - not quite in high territory. Compared to Gs it's a bit higher - noticeably so but it's still a comfortable fit for me. It pushes the boundaries of how high I want to go.

That might be a deciding factor for me personally, but I'm definitely bookmarking that link and checking back as he continues to develop new fits. Thanks for sharing!

Red Cotton just popped up on Massdrop... 16oz jeans, pretty cheap if they unlock the lowest price (only 20 orders required). As other have stated, the zipper fly is a no go for me (and the nickel hardware looks odd? Somehow?), but others may be interested to try this out. Custom monogrammed leather patch could be cool, too!

Seems cool that it's made by one guy, but compared to japanese jeans in the same price range, the fabric is a bit ho-hum.

The fabric in the Massdrop is the Gustin Heavy Americans, but from the fit guide he seems to be right in between the Gustin Slim and Skinny fit -- which could be good to some of you.
