That looks pretty sweet! It got me looking at rakuten, and I was thinking about trying to rock some paisley until I saw those sleeves. Can anybody tell me what's up with them?

Three-quarter shirt sleeves are not my thing either.

Placed and order for this shirt. Wish me luck on sizing Good luck on sizing. I've got a not too disimilar Sugar Cane shirt; I'd assume they run off similar size charts. For reference I'm 6'1" 185lbs and went for a Large. It's a bit of a boxier fit than I'd have liked, and the arms are definitely very roomy. I'd like it a bit slimmer, but I don't think I could get away with a Medium as it would be too short, especially in the arms. Also, good luck on the colour. I got mine from Rakuten and it looked like a great shade of indigo, but it arrived and it was that terrible blue that is neither indigo or navy or any shade that could be called light blue. My girlfriend kept abusing me for wearing it and I eventually had to concede she had a point. I decided to bleach it, which helped (though I didn't do the most even, uniform job), and I've given it a first green tea dye. Another go in the tea and I reckon I'll have a pretty good shirt.

I went with a XL. I'm a bit heavier them you (195lb at 5'11"). I don't want it to trim as I'll be using it for work and want to be able to move freely. But hope its not a big sack look. The discription says its Indigo dyed so hoping it's not to dark but a more bright blue. How did you do a green tea dye? A dozen tea bags a couple gallons of water?

More tea less water. I used about 20 tea bags and only just enough water to submerge the shirt in a bucket, and even then it could have been stronger. I added a teaspoon of cream of tartar as a fixative. If anyone knows a better way I'd be happy to hear about it; I just did some rudimentary research and decided to try and fix a shirt I couldn't wear otherwise.
If it works well on the next dye I'll probably post up some pics.

That looks great, what are your impressions about the fit, specifically sleeve length and overall roominess?

That looks great, what are your impressions about the fit, specifically sleeve length and overall roominess? Wearing it now, Putting it right to work. I'd say its comparable to a Gustin Classic WS. One thing I like is that the neck fits. The Gustin Is about an inch to big for me. So though this Sugar Cane is a XL (17.5") I'd say its more like a 16". It's not a fitted shirt. More boxy (but not billowy). Probably not a great fit for someone with an athletic build. I'm 5'11" , 190lb and got a XL. I plan on using it for work (so a little room for movement works for me). I'm hoping to get a little shrink. I'll post a fit pick later. Its well made. The fabric is nice, at 8oz its comfortable today being 75degrees and sunny but I wouldn't wear it if its hotter. Its kind of a soft fabric but tough. I like the Shade of blue. Not navy not royal. Its bright and dark (if that makes sense).

That looks great, what are your impressions about the fit, specifically sleeve length and overall roominess? Forgot about the sleeves. Similar in roominess to a Gustin WS. Roomy but not baggy . Pits are good size. Again not fitted but not frumpy or baggy. The sleeves are not as long as Gustins. For me they fall right where they should.

Yeah, fabric looks great. My problem tends to be that sleeves are too short. I prefer a 42 chest with 16.5 neck and 36" sleeves. Their fit guides all seem to put an XL at 35" sleeves, which I would expect to shrink a little with a wash.
