It is kind of amusing that I used to use TS's fit guides to figure out if Japanese shirts would fit. Now I guess I have to write all that down, dammit!

Even before the current sizing fiasco, they weren't super consistent, as I have 5 TS shirts in the same size, and they all fit differently, from spot on, to a bit large, ie. overshirt size. Unless they're all the same design (I.e. Jack) this was by design, they just used to have a somewhat reliable size chart. Heavier fabrics were typically more generous in the cut. |

So what is the consensus on the Maritime shirt jacket? It fits everything I've wanted in a wool jacket without being a wool jacket. I'm concerned about the shirt part not giving enough coverage, and not being very layer friendly. Anyone own one that can shed light?

The fit is odd, short, and boxy with comically large pockets that sit about on your stomach. |

Pockets look to big and to low for my liking.
But i highly recommend some sort or heavy wool shirt.
I got mine from Indigogene and love it!
A Very versatile piece.

Dont own one but looked at the recent campaign pictures and laughed at how short it is on the model. TS has severely missed the boat IMO on outerwear that is useful for actual ..........warmth and protection? TS------ the miniskirt of jackets. |

well I don't know if this will be any help to anybody considering the fit guide clusterf!@k that's going on at TS right now, but I picked up two Glacier shirts two years ago and they were sized larger than my other TS shirts. I ordered one size down from my normal size. i'll likely take your advice on sizing. This also seems to correspond with the size chart for the Glacier Shirt, so in my case i'd need to size down to a medium. I'm gonna pass on the current offerings but will probably back the tan plaid western when that pops up. |

I love the latest new drops, because I don't want any of them.
Now I have to call them up, have had a return that has been approved via. email for over 3 weeks. 3 emails asking for an RMA have elicited no response.
It's either that, or I'm pondering packing it for my trip there in a couple weeks and showing up with the item and the email and.........trying some things on? Surprise T/S mothership!

I don't want to alarm you, but it seems that you are as obsessive about portuguese taylor stitch as i became with the crooked plackets on gustin plaid shirts. A modified 12 step program helped me, but i occasionally need to attend a meeting for a tune up. |

When it's made elsewhere, too many other options. I don't get the flip flop back and forth between the US and Portugal/Spain, but I'll continue to support the MiUSA stuff and ignore the MiEU stuff. |
