Henleys, wool crews, beanies, jackets and........sweatpants........in the summer. They're just content living in their Northern California bubble aren't they? Blissfully ignorant or not caring that the rest of the country would have zero interest in buying that right now. Annoying. So tone deaf. And that's coming from a Northern California native. You guys hate all their traditional summer stuff anyway, be happy they're selling grey and blue stuff in the summer -- one could make the assumption that by having all their fall stuff continue to drop, they've heard the complaints people have every year at this time. I see that shiny plastic fleece-lined jacket and imagine the sweaty mess I'd be nearly year round in Colorado, but I guess somebody wants it, so who am I to judge? You say zero interest, but I see campaigns 20% funded on the first day, and with two weeks to go it's likely they'll fund. Apparently they're having second winter in New York right now (or last week), so maybe TS is just ahead of the curve. You're just mad because you chose to live in Florida where even second winter means you don't get to wear any of the cold-weather clothes you like so much. I liked this whole "North Coast" collection, and got on a few things knowing full well I wont need til a month or so after its delivered. Well pretty sure I'll be taking the shorts out right away. Do wish the henley came SS too.

This stuff isn't delivering till August. It will be needed shortly after. If you ask me, TS is right on time. Plus, it is all merino wool, so it could get use in warmer temps.

I don't see it necessary for releases to be made in season. For someone who's building a wardrobe from scratch, sure. But if you already have the seasons basically covered, and you're only looking to add quality pieces to your wardrobe, proper seasonal releases shouldn't matter as much.

Maybe not necessary...but it is definitely nice to be able to receive an item and put it to use right away (especially after waiting on it for a couple of months). Not everyone is content as you to buy things just to admire from afar. That said, I don't find the recent TS items offensively off season...maybe because I just like merino.

There's an emotional side to being able to take it out of the box and being able wear it immediately that you just don't get when you have to wait 6 months to wear it.

I just received my Billy Reid Bond Peacoat, and it's basically 90 degrees outside.

Yes, we all know you spend a king's ransom on clothing, Dev.

Yes, we all know you spend a king's ransom on clothing, Dev. To be fair, I get everything on heavy discount, minus a very select few things (one out of four pairs of Vibergs were bought at full price, and a couple IHUK shirts). The Bond peacoat was 60% off.

The Bond peacoat was 60% off, and I got the Boondockers brand new in box for ~ $400. See, that's the thing . . . you expect to get heavy discounts on out of season items as a trade-off for not being able to wear it right away. That's exactly how the retail cycle is designed to function. The retailer doesn't want to float the commercial paper to keep it in stock or pay to store it during the off season so they sell it to you at a discount to be rid of it. When you're buying from the TS workshop, you're paying full-boat (almost), and thus expect to be able to wear it right away.

I understand though. If I buy full price for a TS shirt, I'd want to be able to start beating it up right away. But workshop I'll be more willing to buy out of season.

I think it's more like 15%, but I'm not exactly sure. It's enough to motivate me to get in on the workshop round, but not enough to qualify for past season clearance in my mind. Anyhow, I think I'd still pay $148 for that jacquard, though.

Trumans I haven't received, and still on the fence whether to keep the preorder. Tricker's, no. Aldens, I have added the green suede wingtip boots to my rotation. Vibergs will probably be kept in shoe bags until the fall. I've been downsizing my closet, getting ready to do a huge donation dump of dress and casual clothes that no longer fit me, or are not worth keeping.

I'm only ever home to sleep, and lift weights. I'm at work (2 different places) 6 days a week, 1 place that requires my to be in at least a sport jacket and a pair of chinos, and another place where I can wear whatever I feel like that day. I'm not outside outside much, 95% of most days spent indoors where AC is on full blast, and usually outside only when I play pickup basketball, or date night (maybe a couple times a week). I've been posting my daily fits lately on IG. Today's my day off, so I've been lazing around in sweatpants and no shirt.

Here is where I will say the thing that I say to my wife when she tells me "but it is 30% off!!" If you don't buy it, it's 100% off.

They say it's 20% off in the workshop, but their prices have gone up at least 20% since they started the workshop, so sort of. All it's done for me is guarantee I don't buy any Taylor Stitch.

I want a white pocket T. TS looks pretty good. Also thinking about the 3sixteen heavyweight T which has gotten good reviews here. The one thing holding me back from the 3sixteen is the weight. 9 oz seems heavy for summer. What's the weight on the TS T? I don't see it on the site.

That project jacket is tempting. I like both color options and the lightweight nature may make this a good choice for the love climate of AZ.
