Exactly. I see people bring this up every now and then. I don't care if James Bond or McQueen wore something. But you did say it was uber preppy douchebag which those are two solid examples how it's not just a preppy thing at all. Ok, you've got a point there. Point taken.

I love cardigan in general but the TS one is blah...... even without the $185 price tag.

ickes guys who wear Cardigans can be very insecure and sensitive (even more so if it's a shawl collar). So be Nice. Actually, what this thread makes me realize is that it's probably the opposite. Thus, from this day forward, I hereby pledge to continue to rock the f!@k out of my cardigans, and will enjoy it even more now. I may even start posting in WAYWT, and it will be all cardigan all the time. Perhaps, I'll treat you all to a cardigan-only pic...or three. I just want to say one thing. To the fans and everybody in SelvedgeStyle Nation, I'm sorry, extremely sorry for not wearing cardigans more. I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any member in the entire forum wear cardigans as much as I will wear cardigans the rest of the year, and you will never see someone push the rest of the members to wear cardigans as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the year, and you will never see a team wear them better than we will the rest of the year. God bless.

northcoast - I have a pendleton wool cardigan and it's a sweet piece. It's Aztek (awesome) pattern. Zip and no pockets is pretty cool and it looks nice open as a jacket type sweater. Also good quality wool not itchy. DigDug - not sensitive at all. My girl loves them which helps. Trying to open eyes to a versatile functional piece that has roots in the USA going back years and years. Thin merino can be a more dressy, chunky shawl more casual but refined. TS hombre top two buttoned style is a little strange/ weird and it doesn't photograph well.

Remember when you wouldn't spend the coin for IH? Then you did and realized it was awesome. It's plausible you will open up to the cardigan for your cool Arizona evenings.

I have a grey Wool shawl collar cardigan and an indigo French terry shawl collar cardigan (that I lik e to pretend is the momo loopwheel version). Love them both, don't think they're preppy or feminine...like most everything else it depends on the rest of the outfit and how the wearer carries it. These TS pieces are overpriced turds though.

Oh I hear ya man, and I wasn't trying to piss anyone off ..I really wasn't. Just my opinion. and I hear you on the Iron Heart comment but here's the thing, I always liked the style of everything Iron Heart put out I just couldn't stomach the cost. The cardigan I just don't care for, that's all. Work wear is really not a trend to me, it's classic to me...I have been wearing it over 20 years now. My grandfather owned service stations, my father owned service stations, I own an auto shop with my father...it's just natural to me and in my blood and what I feel comfortable in. That being said though it is not all that I wear.

That being said though it is not all that I wear. The Dickie workshirts is the real deal but IH is fashion trend. Just remember that we are talking about $300 Japanese make workshirt from a British website. Frankly, it is almost against the ideas about workwear. Slim cut, fancy fabric, import from Asia and $$$.

But but ..........the high armholes. This simply wont do as real work wear must be used in order to complete the layering. He cant be seen in pedestrian gear.
