Huckberry emailed me back. Said they worked with LD to "reserve" the jeans and while they don't have them in their warehouse yet they expect them very soon. So it sounds like LD did push these in front of 5 month old website orders. Haha, tell them not to hold their breath on that reserved denim.

And now it appears they sold (promised) a whole sale order to red light in Japan.

I think early on (before the November sale) Someone had posted somewhere that LD was finishing up a corporate order. Where the employees were coming in to be customs fitted. If these were used as part of their work wear or as a gift I'm not sure. But I thought at the time it was a cool idea for LD to work with corporate accounts. I wonder if he has continued to go after these larger orders. Looks like he has. If so these I would think would take priority.

And this is all at the expense of original backers waiting 6 months or more for their gear.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with this if Lawless would simply say "we bit off more than we can chew, we're sorry that you early supporters are having to wait longer than anticipated. We have several large wholesale orders that we are also working on fulfilling, and unfortunately can't offer realistic delivery dates at this time" ... like three months ago. Like I've said, if they have to keep doing this sort of work to keep the lights on, I'm fine waiting, since I like what I've seen so far -- up to the point where they sell the fabric I already put money down on to someone else.

Good on LD to find other alternative cash sources to keep themselves afloat. The only question is, are they running out of fabric for the original backers because of this?

I might have felt that way two months ago. Today, I'm like WTF - making goods for their biker buddies and others while the people that funded them dangle in the wind? No thanks. That is even worse if you ask me. I've lost all respect for this group and even though there may well be some nice looking pieces coming to buyers, I won't be going back. All it would have taken is open and honest communication. Lacking that, color me out.

Anything set up as a side thing like the Huckberry jeans gets pushed to the front . The factory was shut down for 2 weeks to get the Huck jeans done. That is 100% the truth and also confirmed today via a mole lol

And there you have it. IMO if stated production times have bulk/wholesale orders factored in, that is fine. But when your are waaaaay past stated times AND pushing out bulk orders....highly unethical.

MOLE!
What a funny experiment this is to watch and be apart of. It's like a twisted novel.

It's a business decision. It would be tough for any company to turn down this type of work, but I'm sure Roman promised Huckberry the world, like he did with us, knowing he'd have to push all of us out to fulfill his promises. The responsible thing to do would be to dedicate some production to HB, but not all of it. It's tough on the CS guys, too, not knowing when a commitment will be superseded or a promise broken due to another executive decision.
I guess the good news is they have capacity to churn out product, at least.

He has alluded to such. LA for stock/ready to wear (wholesale) and Phoenix for full custom.

From the Huckberry email it sounds more like they don't have the jeans themselves as yet. I wonder how long until they do.

In my huckberry experience, they don't typically have something in stock when they put it on sale, and set their delivery time based on whatever agreement they have.

I doubt huckberry would enter an open ended agreement with LD. They surely have a contract. If not, good luck!
