I know the duffle registers as 24" length. But I am going for 10 days in Florida and was wondering if I can use it as a carry on bag.
I really rather not check it in. Seeing of anyone has used it as a carry on.

I've never had an issue carrying it on a plane.. I alternate between my G olive duffel and a Hartmann leather duffel.
The G is super collapseable, so as long as you don't stuff it like a sausage, they should let it go.

..I wouldn't try it on Ryanair, though. I'm always super paranoid and stick to the rules 100% on the rare occasion when I fly them.

I've flown United, US Air and Delta with the full-size duffle as my carry-on. No issues. In fact, on many of the small jet/prop flights (smaller markets with the 3 rows - 1/aisle/2 seating), I'm allowed to take my G duffle on the plane when many others have to get their bags tagged at the door. The unstructured nature really helps.

Yeah I had no issues on the way down. Indigo crocking is getting strong.

Yeah I had no issues on the way down. Indigo crocking is getting strong. I should have covered my car seat. All my back pockets are turning indigo on the corners.

I sit on a towel some times. Especially with the beasts.

I've carried it on a couple times without anyone batting an eye. Don't remember what airline, American I think?

I've been using my duffel on quite a few trips in the past 6 months. Bunch of different airlines, and was pleasantly suprised on my last trip to the Bay Area via Allegiant. They are quick to charge for everything and I took my packed duffel on as my "personal item" (supposed to fit under seat) and was able to throw it in the overhead and no one said a word. It's been really working well for me with travel.
However, I've noticed that if you pair it up with any of your denim that's prone to bleed (I tend to wear my Italian Midnights on many work-related trips), that I'm seeing denim bleed on the side of the back that rubs against my jeans when I'm carrying it. I don't mind the subtle hint of blue in the olive, but it's making me think I should've backed the navy.

My super lights bled a ton on my brown duffle.

Florida trip #2 with the duffle 1.0 again was fine no issues at all.
I also received navy duffle 2.0. Not super impressed with the changes some nice but overall not super excited. I wish I could Frankenstein the two together.
