Created this thread for those members interested in TS merch, but don't know how to properly size. I just received my TS Navy Maritime Jacket in size 38, and it's a fantastic CPO. Fabric is soft, and the color is very versatile. Only thing is, it fits me spot on. Like fit a t-shirt underneath, but no more spot on. I'd hate to return this, but I feel like I have to. 40 is the way to go with this for me. 5'8", 180 lbs. Fits like a glove. Hopefully the size 38 shirts I have on order fit like a glove in the same way. Top: TS Navy Maritime Jacket Bottom: Gustin The Natural

The choice is yours and yours alone. I know you're holding the phone out but sleeves look good. Body looks good.
Really depends how you want to wear the shirt. If you are going to rock it like a normal button down it's perfect. If you want to wear it as a top layer over a thin shirt looks good there too.
If you want to wear it as a true CPO over another long sleeve shirt then you might feel constricted and it will be too tight. Shirt or shirt-jac is the question.

devastitis, I'm probably in the minority here but I've got over 10 TS shirts and their CPO is one of my least favorites. I immediately returned mine. The sizing is strange compared to all of their other shirts and I feel it's not worth the price. I ordered a fourty two and it fit me exactly like the thirty eight fits you, which imo is too small. So in the CPO I would have needed a fourty four where as in all my other TS shirts I'm a fourty or fourty two. My point in all this is that I think you did good by ordering a thirty eight in your other TS shirts and they should be a great fit for you.

My ticking stripe utility came in yesterday. First TS purchase. I think I may have nailed down my size.

I've found that you need to size up on TS jackets/blazers and I guess CPO.

that's one of the best fits i've seen on a TS shirt! Sorry, but really? Shoulders are too tight, as evidenced by the raised collar and bunched collar bone area, plus you can see the shoulder seems hit well inside of his actual shoulders. I have a few shirts like that, and moving up one size fixes it. Given his height and weight with a 40 though, I'm surprised by that. Maybe the shirt came in under spec?

Maybe the shirt came in under spec? it's because of their damn 8th button. i don't think TS shirts fit well at all and this is the best i've seen - i didn't say where "best" was on the scale of a good fit.

No 8th button on that style shirt. I have the same shirt in a 44. Shoulders hang over on me now, I have an Oxford in 42 shoulders are about right, but collarbone area gets some bunching. I think the cuts are designed with a different physique than my current state. I've lost some weight since my initial purchases from TS, but the shirts don't seem to be sizing down with me. I think these surfer dudes from Cali must have swimmers bodies or something.

I guess I'm a "surfer dude from Cali" with a swimmers body - because I really like the fit of the TS jack shirt which I received yesterday. Sorry about the crappy potato cam picture at work. I'm 5'9", 155 and it's a 38. I love the fabric and color of this army green OCBD also. I will certainly be ordering more shirts from TS going forward. After some failures on fit from other brands discussed on this forum, I'm pretty excited to have found something that works for me.

I have that uniform arriving tomorrow. Taking a shot on 42 working, but suspect 44 mught have been smarter.

After getting the army green OCBD my anti black shirt stance is wavering as I look at their black Oxford. They've had navy and indigo OCBDs in the past too, right? Do they bring stuff like that back? I haven't been following TS long enough to figure out their patterns.

Maritime CPO is in. 19oz boiled wool moss green. Fabric is very nice. But even with the boiling process it is still itchy just over a T. Basically it needs to be worn as an overshirt. It is a better more substantial wool than my Jcrew Wallace and Barnes line overshirts/CPO. Fit is good. I went with a 44 and it is over shirt sized. Forearms are a bit tight. I think I am going to return it tho. Pockets are huge. Like humorously large. And it's itchy and can't be worn really as a normal shirt. Opinions?

Yep...pockets are just silly on those. One of the reasons I returned mine.
