I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago off of Rakuten and I absolutely love them. I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a true work wear Chino. The fit is great on these and in true Iron Heart fashion the construction, details, and hardware are second to none. I love them so much I picked up a second pair just recently. These can be treated somewhat like an Unsanforized denim as they will shrink after a soak/wash/machine dry, so keep this in mind when sizing. A cold soak and hang dry will get you about a .5" of shrink in the waist and inseam but you can get quite a bit more shrink out of them if you do a warm/hot wash and machine dry. They are almost like a shrink to fit Chino. My first pair (size 33) were a tad too baggy after the initial cold soak so I warm machine washed them and threw them in the dryer on low heat and they shrank up perfectly. I ordered my second pair in a size 32 and they have a much better fit out of the bag and should be perfect after a cold soak and hang dry. Here's a link to the IHUK which I used for a fit guide reference; www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-707.htmlHere's a link to a few stores on Rakuten that have them available. These are a steal at this price IMO. global.rakuten.com/en/search/?tl=551177&k=IH-707

Ickes, what do you think of the fabric. Weight? Mercerized should be shiny and strong. Do you have any other twills for comparison?

Keep in mind that this is my only pair of Chinos so I have nothing to compare it to but I love the fabric. Giles @ Iron Heart UK said the weight is about twelve or thirteen ounces. Yes they have a sheen to them and I love that, however on my pair that was warm machine washed and machine dried the shine has gone away for the most part. Still love that pair though, they fit great. The shine stays pretty good though if you just cold soak and air dry.

2nd pair arrived Comparison: worn a few times + hot washed twice on left, new unwashed on right
Rodeo Bros rule! How are these holding up with some wear? Id like to get a pair to wear to work but afraid a little dust and dirt will wreck them.

does anyone know where I can get these tapered?
I like the fabric a lot, but the leg opening is too large for my taste.

Just don't wear these and feel like I'd make/get better use out of them as Shorts. So I'll be dropping them off to be chopped into shorts. Most likely I'll have them hemmed just above the knee.

I find them to casual to wear with a blazer and tie but to nice to wear to work Wear them like Dickies, that's what I do. Which basically means just like jeans. With a T shirt and Chucks or Vans, or with any shade of a blue chambray work shirt. They look great with the IHSH-21.

I find that they are a bit to heavy to wear in the summer and to light in color to wear in the winter. But as a pair of shorts I think I'll get a lot of use out of them.
