I was considering getting the E4s. How do they compare to Gustin in sizing? Unlike Gustin, Naked and famous is vanity sized. I have three pairs of N&F tag size 33 and they all have a 35 waist. Moreover, the Weird Guy fit is slightly different than the Gustin Slim Fit. Rise is lower, inseam shorter, and the thigh is slightly larger. However the E4 is a different animal, and I heard most people sized up from their usual N&F size. Be sure to check Blue Owl measurements, they're the best. I have a pair of the N&F chinos in the weird guy fit in a size 34 and I'm about a 35.5" waist. Still need to get them hemmed though. I guess I would describe the fit as being similar to the Levis 513 except with a lower rise

Got my Mystery pair I paid $75 for. I was hoping for the Elephant 3 or 4 but got the Deep indigo pair which isn't that bad. I also received the Elephant 3 pair i purchased 2nd hand off ebay for $74. Pretty cool fabric . All in all a good day

Some E3 photos: Train Tracks! Closest to true color Nice. I have been impressed with many of the fade pictures from both the E3 and E4. I am self-banning myself to buy any more jeans for awhile but E4 is so tempting.

Yeah I'm on a self proscribed cop-freeze until I decide for sure on my DWC contest pair. I've been craving the E4 but I got my friend to pick them up so I've started enjoying them vicariously.

Do you have a phone for each front pocket, or is the fade from something else? I see you like your button up shirt on the shorter side like I do. What is it IH?

And my phone is in the left pocket and the right is actually a pen on the far left side and change in the bottom of the pocket, the rest of the outline is just the pocket bag. You can see a little of the change pocket at the top too.

It has a nice cross hatching effect going. Looks beautiful. The jacket looks stiff and bulletproof!

That would also explain why Elephant 4s have been on sale lately.

I've tried a few times and think I've found that I just don't like the look of navy pants, and that's what you have until you get some serious fade into an IXI or IXB. The draw is in the mystical fadez on the interwebs. I'm gonna go watch Zero Theorem because Terry Gilliam is awesome, and even bad Terry Gilliam is pretty awesome.

I like them as I like dark fabrics but then these also have the unique fade that happens. They almost look black unless you are in bright light. Love the thickness and the ID being I double cuff mine. Will post some pics of mine in a few more weeks as the wear starts showing up. Different strokes as they say.

The E5 denim appeals to me much more than the E4. It looks like a lower tension weave with much more texture and unevenness than the E4 without the overdyed look and the crosshatching looks great. I also like the lighter weft.
I've preferred the E3 to the E4 due to the lighter weft, and the Heavy Soft to either E3 or E4 due to the contrast stitching, but wish it had be brown weft like the E3. So for me, the E5 is a pretty ideal combination of the E4 weight and Heavy Soft contrast stitching with a little more unique finish.

Maybe I got spoiled by looking at so many different type of fabric lately and the E5 looks so normal.

It's not Oni level of crazy texture, but at least from what I've seen so far, it looks like the most interesting non-collab material N&F has used so far.

Man I'm pissed I missed the E4's they look amazing. Do you mean the sales? E4's aren't going anywhere, they're still making E3's, but I suppose they might go away when the E5's drop. But E4's should be around for quite a while.

This right here @wils, I couldn't have said it any better myself. That's exactly why the E5 is appealing. It also has a nice shade of indigo imo.
