Dinner was awesome. Seated across from Michael from Taylor Stitch and next to Ryan, the owner of Union wine. Great conversation, excellent wine, and amazing food. It was really interesting to hear the story behind Taylor Stitch's foundation, as well as their plans for the future. Sounds fun, wish I could have gone. Wife vetoed that one because she didn't want to ride to Tualatin. Ended up drunk ordering another mechanics shirt instead so still a winning evening.

I like the proposed fall stretch wool blazer and pants. Seems like a fair price.

Stopped by TS on saturday since my buddy and me was in the area to check a sidewalk sale for Benny Gold. Talked to the peeps I know there to see what was good. Mostly restocked sizing for most stuff.
Felt the hand of the t-shirt and its pretty soft, just don't like pocket tees too much.
The rear pocket on my cone mill denim jeans unraveled when I went to the game last week so I emailed someone about it but they said it was too expensive to repair and that they recommended me to get new jeans? Guys in store said we got you bro and its free just like what website stated....So I was like WTF really, at least I know the guys in the shop got me covered always. They keep it 100 lol

There was like one short sleeve in the store when I stopped in yesterday.
The popover was there too but I know too well that my body type will not work.
Tried on the canvas trucker in my usual size 42 and it was too short in the sleeves for my liking as well as tight all around.
Made in Portugal now matches the Made in Ca sizing as I remember about half a year ago you had to size up in the foreign makeup.
They are repairing my jeans as well as the acid hole I got...Kenny was like are you serious cause I was wondering how you ripped your jeans around your thighs lol.

Shout out to TS! Got the jacquard utility shirt, and it went on sale the next day. I asked for a refund and they obliged, which was very nice.

my after store report from yesterday. - my jeans were repaired well and done in a week's time - the short sleeve i saw last week was indeed the star jack- but only one size in store no other short sleeves in stock - the striped tees- feel substantial to me but with temps in the 90s-100s in the southbay not a wise choice for me. Also, they had like only mediums in stock - the jacquard utility shirts were nice but sizing seemed off to me: tried on both a 42 which was too fitting and 44 just a tad loose. Was debating on it since I liked the fabric - they had two sets of the telegraph jackets in store but those cut are way slim and don't work for me - they had more shorts in store as well as camp pants - met a cool couple and chatted while he was getting fitted for a custom shirt - talked basketball with the guys and hung out for an hour - they had a couple of navy blue yosemite shirts as well
If you guys who preorder stuff and want to see what it looks like in person before it ships to you, I can always stop by the store and take pics/vids since I hang out in the area to help ya out.

RE: pants sizing-- thinking about picking up the chore pants (washed timber). Is their pants sizing true to the fit charts?

RE: pants sizing-- thinking about picking up the chore pants (washed timber). Is their pants sizing true to the fit charts? Generally, and I'm basing my experience off of the TS slim chino - Of my three pairs (khaki, ash, olive), they are probably all under the size spec for 33 slim by about a 1/4" post wash. The olives are closer to 3/4" in the waist but not a bad fit post wash. If I was opting for the chore pants, I'd probably stay with a 33 slim knowing I can soak to get them to true up to where I like them.

stinky like i said before, all 3 of my chore pants in size 34 sewed up differently. My ash ones were smallest whereas the caramel was loose and actually the size i wanted more.

Anyone else have problems with the TS website? It's so glitchy with signing in, and that 20% email sign up coupon is irritating.

I'm between waist sizes for most TS pants. I'm a true 36" waist and wear a 35 slim in gustin. Generally better to size up (to 36.5 waist) or down (to 35.5)? If I was looking for denim, I would size down for sure, but I'm looking for shorts or chinos.

Not sure if anyone is interested since it's not workwear per se, but the latest Telegraph jacket and trousers just popped up on Huckberry. All sizes with Jackets going at $219 and trousers at $129. I think this matches the price TS had them going for on their website where everything but the Olive jacket is currently sold out.

New gingham jack in light pink is way better than the mint color, at least for me. I'll also be returning the SS Calif. blue stripe chambray--pattern doesnt work for me... Going to give this new Chore Jacket a go:

I am very tempted on that chore jacket, but I just dont know when I would wear it. A clown nose and really big shoes? WEll I think you solved the question for me. Or perhaps when I needed to store a ton of things in my overly large front pockets? Thats the design feature I really object too, well that and the idea of a "jacket" as tight as a shirt. I should probably post that in the fashion trend thread. I've been interested in CF's quilted jean fabric so I think thats the trigger here for me, I want to own some but I don't think I can make it work.

The inside is the stuff of nightmares, at least when combined with the outside. It reminds me of Derelict, or whatever the homeless style was in Zoolander.

Sometimes I think you should charge for your services. So many dollars saved. But at the end of the day I mostly see you objecting to pieces that just wont integrate well with other wardrobe items and thats just not a good buy for most of us. There is a "What was I thinking" thread on SF where people pull out pieces that they bought and try to make them work after brushing the dust off. This jacket reminds me of that thread.
