I've been limiting my use of the web lately (dumped IG,FB, other Forums. Even marked as Spam the emails from Retailers . Spent to much time on them, I feel so much better! (Staying here on the SS forum is about it). I really would would like to know if a Heavy Flannel comes available from IH in an XL-XXL (Rakuten only seems to have the smaller sizes and I'm not surfing around any more). So if you get a notice of a Heavy Flannel release, please let me know. If you sign up for them you shouldn't report as spam, since that effects whether or not systems see them as spam rather than legitimate communication. This can be a problem for some threshold reporting systems, causing undue work for retailers to keep their email getting to people that are asking for it, and the processes By which to get yourself removed from those is typically a nightmare dealing with automated systems. If it's not actually spam, you should use the unsubscribe function they make available. You're obviously a fellow IT guy lol

So if it's all made in Japan, why don't IHUK remain as the internet portal and designer, but have all stock kept in, and shipped from, Japan?
As a minimum, that would reduce the cost of shipping from Japan to the UK and then storage and repackaging costs in the UK.
IHUK could still maintain their profit levels and everyone else would benefit from no UK sales tax or double handling.

The IH business model confuses me. I get that IHUK design stuff and sell it exclusively, but that must push the unit cost up as it in effect bars Japanese customers from buying, especially at the higher prices. Why not increase production, reduce prices and sell more of the stuff in Japan? Also they seem to have limited runs which often sell out quickly, like the UHF. Why not make and sell more of sure-fire hits? I'm sensing that maintaining higher prices by limiting availability and exclusivity is where they're at. Shame, as I'd definitely get more if the prices were lower and more stuff was actually available. Well they pretty much do all of this already. IH is constantly producing items which a good percentage of is restocks on surefire hits. Unless you're a member in their forum though you wouldn't know this as they dont send out mass emails or anything like a lot of companies do.

IHUK (in alliance with SE, and others) givess you A Boutique store "a small store that sells stylish clothing, jewelry, or other usually expensive things". Returns are easyish, smaller lots on certian styles, customer service is arguably better (except for no extra buttons, what's up with that!?), part of a smaller community of wearers, a Forum, owner is engaged with his customers (he even showed up here!), QC could be argued better then Rakuten, Bigger sizes readily available (those Japanese are small guys), info on care of product is better noted (shrinkage), .... Just a few thoughts. Not saying IHUK is better just a bit different flavor.

The one in the back looks amazing, but comes with the inevitable $350 price tag.

Oh yeah....come to papa. The front two are 10 oz flannels and the blue is indigo dyed so it will fade, they look gorgeous and I want both. Those will only be available in the western cut. devastitis the one in the back is the black/charcoal that's dropping possibly tomorrow; selvedgestyle.com/thread/1255/ihsh-131 the WS cut is dropping first but they will also be dropping a western cut. All three of the Buffalo checks will be available in the WS and Western Cut and are 12 oz (UHF) The two Ombres are also 12 oz and they will be available in the WS or western. I'm not sure which color I want to cop though. I literally want all of these shirts....it's ridiculous. EDIT; Actually it looks like on the charcoal/black buffalo check will be available in both the work shirt and western cut while the red/black and green/black will only be westerns.

I also have the 102. Great shirt. Easy to wear as a top layer since it's so warm and wind resistant.

Definitely interested in the back two. Don't have anything in red, and this looks like it hits the spot.
