ickes, you must ignore my rantings. Understandable, but this is a dick move and costs you thousands every month. In related news, Ciano is in Texas, as am I, but if I send my order to my mom's house in New Mexico, I save the 8.25% TX sales tax. If Ciano just charged everyone sales tax, people would bitch.

What is this no 20% VAT refund you guys are talking about? I sent a shirt back a few weeks ago and was refunded the full amount, but I did have to cover shipping. Value added tax. Basically it's tax on goods and services at 20%. Since it's an international sale they so not need to charge said 20% tax since we are USA citizens/USA shipping address. Like when we buy from rakuten they take 8% off because we are Usa customers they don't charge the 8% Japanese consumption tax. So if IHUK did the sale as rakuten we would have a 20% discount due to the lack of tax. Are the invoices/receipts you guys in the US receive from IHUK separately showing VAT at all?

I actually fully expect that IHUK has an agreement with Self Edge to not refund the VAT so that Self Edge's Asshole Pricing doesn't look that much more f!@ked up.

Regarding VAT; got it, thanks guys. Well I wasn't aware of that and yeah, it sucks I guess knowing we could be getting 20% off of the current price. Call me a fool but I will still purchase from IHUK if I love the product enough. I guess it's suckers like me that keep them in business eh? Regarding the Rakuten deal though, as long as we can still purchase IH products directly from the vendors websites then it's really no skin off of our backs, right?

Yeah, just a little bit of the shell game by Rodeo Bros to keep US customers happy. Sort of the opposite of IHUK.

I think Self Edge is more likely to be the villian in this instance.

I'm guessing any shops mentioned here might be getting a talking-to and dissuaded from selling at the real, cheap rate outside Japan. Certainly through Rakuten, if not through their own sites.
It might be better not to name names publicly and simply buy the IH staples cheap on the quiet, enjoy the savings and high quality and post fit pics to enable others. The savings made could then be used towards must-have IHUK-only stuff.

I guess it's a double edged sword. I will never buy from IHUK or Self Edge knowing their markup. So if those two have the power to control Japanese vendors, I will never own any Iron Heart stuff. Is that really a win for a Japanese company, to let UK and US vendors have that sort of influence? If so, I'll just take my money to another resort and put strychnine in the guacamole.

I am opposed to violence. That said, if anyone I know buys a $250 cotton poly lightweight western shirt with a boring grandpa pattern, I'm gonna mind punch them in the imgai-balls. I'd like to hear someone justify a $250 shirt like that to the guys in your avatar pic. That's something likely to end in violence. Exactly. EDIT: Also, I meant to say "imagi-balls" up there. Totally ruined my own joke.

I don't like their refund policy, or prices. I have been looking for a Buzz chambray in my size for a while now, and saw they restocked some at Rodeo Bros. I paid $89 bucks, including shipping, and Selfedge has a few small sizes left for $160. What a rip!

I can maths real good, cm to inches is stoopid easy.
To me this is no different than if Illinois Toyota dealers decided a Camry should cost $200k and you could drive to Indiana and get the identical thing for $20k. It's not good for anyone other than the jackhole selling at a fabricated markup when people pay that price.
In my imaginary example, if Toyota didn't hit those dealers with Thor's Ban Hammer, I'd have less respect for Toyota.

Is it worth an extra 60-100%? I agree that a US vendor would be nice, just not this one. Some competition would fix the problem, but I'd imagine SE would fight that hard with their mountains of IH money bags.

Just to be clear, I may spew vitriol and play an asshole on the interwebs, but I don't take this seriously and if my closet isn't stuffed full of comically marked up Cell Bitch stuff, I'll be okay.

People are so used to the IH UK mark up that we may think of the "cheap rate" -- when infact the cheap rate is the normal full retail price.

A wrench gets thrown into it when they are the only people that sell the product.

They seem similar to the 633 cut. Never tried them. 100k people don't have power in Rhody. I'm sweating and my phones gonna die. If I don't make it out alive I donate my clothing to the selvedge&style find for under privileged kids who can't dress good.

It was 30 degrees IN my house! Pipes froze, water and ice damage not only inside many houses but also inside. A friend of mine bought an over priced genorator, went out to get gas, Stolen! Bought another one, Stolen again!
