Wow got the 633's in and damn what an awesome denim. 21oz is perfect weight. But the cut ahhh the cut. Exactly what I need! The rise is a wee bit high for my liking wish the lowered it a tad but that's it. My gf doesn't think they do my ass justice with the higher rise.

Awesome brentkuz, glad the 633 cut works out for you. It's interesting you mention the rise though because I feel my pair has a medium/low rise...about as low as I would want to go actually, similar to the rise on the Gustin slims, but either way I'm glad you dig the cut.

So I just copped the IHSH-68-ind www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-68-ind.html. I went with an XL and the measurements all look good on the fit guide but I got to thinking about the length...the length looked good on the charts but if the shirt happens to come in a bit under spec it might get to that point where it annoys me and I'll have to send it back. I can not stand shirts that are too short. I would rather have a shirt too long than too short and I also like some length on my shirts anyways, especially with work shirts. So I emailed Iron Heart about it (spoke with Axel) and although he already had my shirt packed up he said he would unpack it, measure all 6 XL's that he has, and send me the longest one. So sure IHUK is expensive and we've talked about it extensively here, but their customer service is really top notch and although you are spending a pretty penny on their items you can always know that you're going to get an absolute top notch product with great customer service.

I am buying a larger waist size (circumference) also maybe my ass is odd.

I missed the sale didn't I ... Dang! Or maybe it's ok.?. I was going to grab the yellow HI-117 www.ironheart.co.uk/shirting/ihsh-117.htmlI love the Fabric on this. Great alternitive to a Chanbray. Screw the price!, I'm sick and tired or buying stuff that I have to wait, comes to small/Big, interpreting Japanese, converting cm into inch, orders canceled, miss alined anything, money taken and nothing recieved, (what else is there....), buttons falling off, pockets sewn on oddly, Etc (that covers the rest).

The waist measurement comes out the same as the G method. It's the thigh and knee that are different.

Wider, it looks like. Which is OK for me, because I'm still a fatass.

Wider, it looks like. Which is OK for me, because I'm still a fatass. It's where they take the measurement at. Gustin measures the thigh at 2" down from the crotch, Iron Heart measures the thigh right at the crotch. This results in about an inch difference in the thigh measurement I have found. It doesn't necessarily mean the thighs are bigger on the Iron Heart pair, it just means they are measured at a different point which gives you a wider measurement. So you could have a pair of Gustins with a 24'' thigh and 16" knee, and a pair of Iron Hearts with a 25" thigh and a 16.5" knee. On paper the IH pair is larger but in reality the two pairs are the same size because of where the measurement is taken.

You'll never make it past the hem width. really wide? Like a boot cut? devastitis it looks like the cuff on this pair would be about 18". the 634 isn't a boot cut per se, but it's a straight leg fit with what most here would consider a wide cuff opening. Honestly from what I know of your style I don't think the 634 cut would be the cut for you. I think you'd be more of a 555, 777, or 633 cut kind of guy.

My thighs measure somewhere between 24" and 25", so straight fit is the way I will have to go. Unless I go on a serious cut and stop chasing dem PRs.

I was wondering about that with the workouts you've been doing lately...then maybe give the 634 fit a shot. My next pair will be a 634. For some reason I thought you didn't like bigger cuff openings but maybe I'm thinking of someone else, but I've never minded them and I would actually rather have a cuff opening that's a bit too big than too small. So you're probably like me then regarding the IH fits. I've gone over their fit guides countless times and the only fits that will work for me that have a bigger thigh on the smaller waist sizes are the 634 and 633. It's kind of comical how many sizes I would have to go up in the waist to get the thigh to fit on some of their cuts. I was looking at the 555 fit I think it was...and I would have to go up 4 to 5 waist sizes to get the thigh to fit and my legs really even aren't that big.

I like smaller cuffs, but my thighs have outgrown the slim. Guess I have to just go the custom route, or try the 10k kettlebell swing challenge again.

Room in the thighs and top block but a nice taper to a smaller cuff opening. It's a SelfEdge exclusive fit is the only problem though so you'll be paying full price for those bad boys.
