I received my IH-666S-19L from RB, yesterday. All is good in my world. This denim is phenomenal. Rigid as hell. A good amount of slub. Hairy. Little white neps. They come in a very close second to my Oni 575, as far as character is concerned. All concerns about the fit were put quickly to rest. The 666 devil's cut is the right one for me. They came prewashed, at 35.5 in the waist....perfectly snug, right out of the box. The inseam was just shy of 35, and gives a nice 1" cuff. The right leg has a bit of forward twist. But, as unpredictable as this denim was said to be, I was expecting some. The construction and detail is spot on. Anyone looking to jump into heavy unsanforized denim could honestly do no better.

Very nice scooter! I have thought about picking those up but I think my next IH denim purchase will be the 21oz and I might try it in the 634 cut. The best part about it too scooter is that the 19oz fabric you got is going to age BEAUTIFULLY. That's one thing about IH and other top Japanese brands, their fabrics just get better with age from their shirts to their jeans.

They've got the loomstate/unsanforized denim down to a science. I don't think I'll buy anything sanforized ever again. I'm looking at the 666-UHR as my next IH purchase. I believe it's the same loomstate denim you've got with your 633. 21oz pre-soak, 23oz post.

Ha...I'm looking at that fabric too but in the 634 cut (it's a different fabric than my 633's btw) but the only thing thats holding me back is they're only available on IHUK in the 634 cut I believe..so super expensive. But the 21oz 634s I can get off Rakuten. I LOVE the shade of blue on the UHR 21/23oz. If money was no object they would be my next IH jean purchase.

What do you like about the 666 cut scooter? Can you describe that cut a little? Since Gustin is generally the most common factor around here, I'll relate their slim cut to the 666. The 666 has a little higher rise, I would say roughly .25"-.5". It sits right where I like it. Through the butt and thigh they are very similar. At the knee is where the big differences appear. The 666 has a much more gradual taper, and the cuff opening is right about where I like it (16.5"-17"). That cuff opening, between G slim and straight, that many of us like, is where the 666 end up. I will say, I was surprised by the amount of space in the thigh, though. I was expecting it to be a bit snug. But, thankfully, that wasn't the case.

After putting the leftys on, and confirming my fit, the first thing I did was search rakuten for the UHR, to no avail. For the time being, I've got a half dozen new loomstate/unsanforized jawns to break in, and I still want to nab a pair of PBJ. Maybe, someday.

What do you like about the 666 cut scooter? Can you describe that cut a little? I got the 666-21s in this week, and I agree with @scooter. They are like the Gustin slims with a little higher rise and a little more gradual taper and a BIT wider leg opening. I would prefer a bigger taper and smaller leg opening, a la the Gustin slims, but that's just being picky as these are otherwise pretty much a perfect fit/cut I think. For me at least.

Or a la the 633 cut??...lol... ...It still stumps me that those didn't work out for you...although I think the fact that they were hemmed might have something to do with it. Yeah I checked the fit guide and quickly remembered why I hadn't considered the 666 cut...those thigh measurements are way too small for me. The rest of the cut looks pretty damn good for me though. Finding the right fit is the key. Its cool that we've all found the right IH cut...I've seen some guys over on the IH forum who just can't find the right IH cut for them which is unfortunate

How are the thighs on the 666-19L? You got size 36 right? The IHUK fit guide makes the thighs look really tight.

The Stubborn Crew I feel like everyone should try IH, including myself, but not at the IHUK prices. Weakened yen + Denimio/Rakuten = yes, even 12% discounted IHUK = no. If some of the IHUK merch isn't available on Rakuten, then wait until they are or go with something nice and similar enough.

For a person trying IH for the first time then I would probably suggest the Rakuten route like you said. Rakuten is still the first place I look when searching for IH pieces...BUT....if and when IH releases a certain item that I love and it's only available on IHUK, I will pay the IHUK price for it. I know my fit with IH now and I know the product, so there will be a handful of items I will buy off IHUK.

I'm looking to nab my first IH shirt. Considering my size, the only thing I can find on Rakuten is the IHSH-07 indigo hickory stripe. Looking at specs, I could make either the XXL or XXXL work, depending on shrinkage. Does anyone have experience with this fabric ?

How are the thighs on the 666-19L? You got size 36 right? The IHUK fit guide makes the thighs look really tight. IHUK says 12.4". The thigh came in around 12.6". Personally, I can't go less than 24.5" without discomfort. That extra .5", or so always does the trick for me.

I have no experience with this fabric but according to IH it will not shrink much. Here's a link to the thread for this shirt on the IH forums. The guys over there are always helpfull with posting up pics and providing any info relevant to the fabric for potential buyers. The XL looks like a perfect fit for me. www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=408.0

brentkuz , quick fit pic for you..... Perfect snug in the waist. The only thing I would prefer, just a bit slimmer taper down from the knee.
