jamesr and jeffrx, can you post the email you are using to communicate with Rodeo Bros when they get you these shirts? That's pretty cool that they hook you up like that btw.

So whats IH 21oz denim like? It seems I could get a pair of 634's for only $165 (with free shipping). Then I'd send them to RailCar to be custom tapered. Just not sure if I want 21oz. There are two types of IH 21 oz denim (selvedge and non-selvedge). The $165 version you mention is the projectile loomed non-selvedge version. E.g. the IH-634. It has a more open weave, is more breathable, and less dense and dark. It feels less raw compared to the selvedge version. Doesn't fade as dramatically. It's very much like the 18.5 oz stuff you see from Gustin and Lawless. It's just heavier. Most people don't realize the $165 version is not selvedge maybe because it is not sold outside Japan so you just don't come across it much. The $216 version is the shuttle loomed selvedge version. E.g. the IH-634S. It has a denser weave, is a little less breathable, and is more dense and dark. Both stretch a fair amount. The selvedge version seems to stretch more. Thanks!!! My Japanese isn't very good

I forget who it was, but for the person who was looking for an XXL IHSH - Rodeo Bros contacted me and they have access to XXL Wabash shirts in Black, which is what I asked for. The guy who helped me is named Rumiko. He's quite a helpful dude. He ordered one for me from the mfr, which they got in the shop the next day, and I paid through their private PayPal address. Have not received the shirt yet, but based on their previous results, I would expect a good turnaround. Hey, that's exactly what I did. Rumiko ordered me the Beach Vest and Black Wabash shirt specially. Both turned up in their shop in a day and posted the next. I might have both parcels by the end of the week. Great service.

Yep, that's the one.
I've been operating under the assumption that if it's available and for sale by Iron Heart Japan, these guys can get it. Note that a lot of what you see on IHUK is not available from IHJP.

There's a third version, 634SR for $253 USD. They are unsanforized 21 oz selvedge and after a wash become 23oz.

I don't think anyone could go wrong with the 21oz. It's their flagship denim. I chose 25oz as my first foray because I knew that if I love the heaviest they offer, everything else will be great too. Seems true! 25oz'ers, then a Hickory Stripe western, followed by 3 button up thermal henley's, and again by 3 t-shirts..... I have yet to be disappointed, and I don't think I will be.

How heavy is it? I'm assuming its nothing like the Sasquatch. I'd think softer, flexible. Just not sure if I want somthing that thick.

The 25oz denim is a peculiar thing... It's noticeably thicker and heavier, but exponentially softer and far more breathable. Many of us here opted for ordering our CORRECT SIZE (Not sizing down), and nobody has made any noteworthy complaints of "My hips are bruised!" or "They chaffed my thighs!". I only realize the weight of them when getting dressed and getting undressed

We know that ordering over the interweb is difficult and even more so when it's from another country (Japan) so customer service is important. I'm stuck between a 38 and a 40 in the IH 19oz so I decided to email Rodeo Br (strait from the Rakuten site). Within an hour!!! Remiko emailed me back the measurements (with pic) of both sizes and recommended a pair for me.

Can't believe I forgot that one since I was wearing the 634SR as I wrote the post. Maybe I forgot because it was only 21 oz for an hour or so until I soaked it to 23. I think of it by it's post-soak weight, but you are correct, it starts at 21.

IHV-09 Beach Vest, with IHSH-07 underneath. Similar to @untucked's Sugar Cane one, but this has no inside pocket.
Bought as a special order through Rodeo, with really helpful service from Rumiko. Delivered in a week.

To all of you who have owned IH denim for awhile now, how much have you noticed them stretching after break in? Can one effectively size down and stretch or do they tend to hold their measurements well?

Waists I find can be manipulated the most. They will stretch if you need them too. They won't stretch a ton if you aren't putting the stress on them. Like it's a wash for me 36-36.75" waist since I can get either to stretch where I want it to. But I can't get a 24" thigh to stretch where I need it too. And cuff opening well won't change and if anything shrink with washing.

If it helps at all, I wear 33W in Gustin but a 32W in the 666 and they fit me perfectly in the waist. I think you can expect 1" to 1.5" from your IH jeans, all depending on what size they are to start with and how much pressure you're putting on them.
