Can anyone give me some insight into how much shrinkage I can expect in the 633S 21oz? It says in the description to expect .5 inch in the inseam. Anyone experience shrinkage in thigh knee etc? I can make the pair work that I'm looking at and they might be better with a little shrinking. and here's a link to the thread for those jeans on the Iron Heart forum; www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6508.0you might find the answer in there or you could join and ask that question over there

Thanks. I see that they measure a little differently than G which is actually making the size seem to be a better fit for me.

Guys,
I just got my 634sr back from tapering at Railcar (railcarfinegoods.com). Check the site for cost and other info. They nailed the job. Perfect. Workmanship is equal to the IH orignal work and they fit exactly as I'd hoped. They were really baggy before which I knew going in based on the fit guide. I took them in a bit but left them looser than my other denim for wearing with boots and body armor when I'm on the bike.
Pics eventually.

Did they taper the outside seam or inside seam?

Price is a bit high especially hemming $25! But there work is great and the money you save from buying on rakuten helps soften the tailoring blow.

I was thinking if/when I get my pair I might do this if I need to. Thought it might be a sacrilege but seems like I'm not the only one to consider this.

seth, they taper the inseam, they love their denim at Railcar (they make amazing jeans) and wouldn't dream of cutting the selvage off. You're in safe hands with Railcar. mkeview, I'm sure someone, somewhere will get their panties in a knot over this but as far as I'm concerned, they can go stand in a corner with all the motorcycle haters, people who booed Bob Dylan's first electric concert, crazy cat ladies and others who spend their lives constantly offended. They're jeans. Get drunk and cut them into jorts of you want. Well, that might make me cry but you get my point.

I waited, and tried to convince myself otherwise, but, I'm ready to go for it. I already have some combs forming and showing through, so it will look strange at first, but oh well! As you started, they are jeans. Btw, yesterday, the idea of cutoff jhorts crossed my mind.....

I gotta hem the 25oz the fit is good. I like a little looser with the heavy weight.
Wish someone locally hemmed 25oz.

You'll have to bring the denim to a few tailors and talk to them. Look for someone who is capable of sewing buttons onto leather jackets. They will have a sewing machine that can handle it. They might charge you a few bucks more but mine worked out fine.

What size did you start with, and what measurements did you taper down to? I got a 33 waist and after a 1 hour HOT soak they were dead nuts on to the Rodeo Bro's post soak fit guide. I took the thigh to 11.25", the knee to 8.5" and the cuff to 8". Keep in mind, this is a Gustin style thigh measurement meaning 2" down from the crotch, not the IH style of thigh measurement, which makes my head hurt. I love IH but I hate their thigh measurement specification method. My biggest thigh diameter is midway down my quads not up at junk level where IH measures it. The IH method leaves me guessing based on comparing their "thigh" measurement and their knee and assuming a constant taper. Love the jeans, whine about the fit chart

If you can make an already amazing pair of jeans fit even better - and know the work will be done to as high as standard as the original workmanship - you'd be mad not to. Just because X cut is hyped by some owners doesn't mean it'll work for everyone. In fact, there's no cut on the planet that'll work for everyone, regardless of who's designed and made it.

I tried to fight through it, because I was told "the fabric will settle and it won't be so billowy after some good wear"... That's not true, lol

This Black wabash must be sold. Just a bit too tight! Damn! It's on E-bay, but if you want it for what I have put out, which is $190 approximately, let me know. I have it at $250 OBO on E-bay. On IHUK it goes for $365. I wish it fit.

I've got the wabash coming in indigo. I debated for days whether to go for the black or indigo... hope I chose wisely.
