So a box showed up from Japan. These things are no joke. Heavy and stiff pre soak. Oh yes, now we are talking. I really like mine. The denim is just beginning to settle after about 3 weeks of wear.

I wonder how often rodeo bros restock items. If you refresh their site today, you will see they just got a new batch of IH-666S in 21 oz in all sizes. Also, the restock interval depends more on the production throughput of IH JP and their distribution commitments to different retailers. I'm sure Rodeo restocks them the moment they can get more. Rodeo waits for Haraki.

I'm on about day 4 of the 666 25oz and they are more comfortable now. The buttons are getting much easier to fasten. I am leaving a trace of indigo everywhere I sit, although my family has not seemed to notice yet. The double cuff feels a little clumsy....might try something different. Regarding traces of indigo... I should take a picture of the tan driver's seat of my car compared to the passenger side. The seat reflects the breaking in process of my 25 oz 666.

I feel like I joined a club. IH 666-XHS on the way here from JP. This is my first pair of Japanese jeans. I've never been knocked out with my Gustins so no baby steps, right to the top.

Does anyone have any Iron Heart shirting experience? I'm a 40 in TS glacier twill and a 36 or 38 in their oxfords. Tight small in G classic or a slightly baggy medium. Iron Heart's medium seems like it would be too big in the chest, but too small in the shoulders.
Also, when ordering from Rakuten, do you have to size up? The size charts seem smaller than on the Iron Heart UK site.

I think for the most part they keep it pretty consistent but I know by reading on the forums that sometimes guys will be an XL in one shirt but L in another. I only own one IH shirt so far. I am an XL classic in Gustin, a 42 in Taylor Stitch, and my Iron Heart 2014 Super Heavy Flannel is an XXL and it fits after hot washing and drying. Next time around I am going to try an XL and cold wash and hang dry.

Iron heart UK now has the 777 cut and 666-21oz. Just went live today. So that answers my questions about them.
As for shirting I wear large for the 102, XL in the 107 and 62. Remember some will shrink.

man that 777 cut looks too skinny for my blood. I don't think I could fit in those thighs.
BTW, one thing that's worth mentioning for those trying out Iron Heart for the first time; Look at how Iron Heart measures their jeans when checking the fit guide. The only areas that will really make a difference are how they measure the thighs and knees. The thigh is measured straight across from the crotch seam as opposed to two inches down from the crotch seam so it will make a difference on the thigh measurement. Also, I believe their knee is measured 13" down from crotch seam as opposed to 15" down like Gustin does. The waist and other measurements though will pretty much get you the same results as the Gustin way of measuring.

Seriously lucky Rakuten doesn't have 19L in my size. Kinda wanna try the 25oz but it's one hell of a plunge.

When I compared the two by fit chart they're very similar.

The hem on a Gustin Straight is a lot bigger than an IH 666.

By the charts, gustin straight = 18.5. 666 = 18. Is this incorrect? Based on a 36

I feel the same way. I'm waiting for my IH 634SR from Japan and it's my first and only Japanese and unsanforized denim. I'm eyeing Oni 288ZR already

By the charts, gustin straight = 18.5. 666 = 18. Is this incorrect? Based on a 36 Looks right. However, I am looking at it from a size 34: Gustin Straight 34 is 9" (measured flat). The IH 666S (21oz) 34 is 8.3". In other words, 18" vs 16.6". That's 1.5" difference, which is a lot at the hem.

Use the UK charts and methods, choose the size that best fits your numbers, and ENJOY!

Just shows how different IH sizing can be between fabrics.

EXACTLY! ^^^^^ Thanks for the pics DirtyDenim. Personally I don't think I will ever be able to take the IH plunge. I absolutely cannot be convinced that their products are actually worth the prices they are charging for it. The mark ups seem to be completely absurd. Keep in mind I have never seen an IH product in person, but this is just my two cents This will be IronHeart friends soon. Just a throw back post. How we all have grown.

I think my Rakuten purchase started the avalanche..... I'm still considering a black pair... Between my 666XHS, a black pair and my IxI PBJ's I'd have a full denim collection, and could rid my closet of all other denim, except my earth tone G's.

I have no problem admitting now that I was wrong, but at the time I posted that comment I truly meant every word. It was just not conceivable for me to spend that amount of money on IH gear but you are right, how we all have grown. I have learned two things since that post; never say never and Iron Heart jeans are worth the money.
