"I'm 34 in Diesel, what size am I in IH?" "Please can you measure your pair of Diesel the way we measure" "I've already told you, I have a true waist of 34" "Please can you measure your pair of Diesel the way we measure" "Why do I need to? My Diesels are tag 34 so I know that I have a true waist of 34" "I would really prefer it if you could confirm the actual waist size of the Diesels you are talking about. It's upsetting for all of us if we ship to you and they don't fit." Some time later...... "Erm, so I've done that, they actually measure 38" True story That is damn funny. Frustrating too I'm sure.

178 is headed to Seattle 99 had been on the list for a while and these have the same 'muted' contrast stitching. $360 is much easier to stomach than $425

The overdye process really shrinks the s*** out of it.

Agreed, that the 99/178 shines best as a jacket. Big brass snaps don't read: shirt!
Also, apprehensive over the sizing of my Large, en route. I want to be able to layer an UHF underneath it, like I do with my Large black 162. At least SE's return policy is customer centric, lol

Looks like your normal IH shirting size in this is a little generous in the shoulders and arms for layering to begin with. Torn with sizing up one to an XXL for the shacket.

Yeah, the shoulder measurements seem wonky large and out of step with their other cpos. An XL is pushing 20"! Bet this 18oz fabric weighs closer to 19.5 after the OD process. Sure hope my fit works out...

Yeah you should be. Thing that makes me want to size up are these actual measurements of an XL received: shoulders 18.5", pit to pit 22", waist 20.5", opening 22", length 29", sleeve (pit to cuff) 21.75", sleeve (shoulder to cuff) 25.5

A 50" chest works for me, but like Disheveled pointed out, an almost 22" shoulder is TOO much. Most of my shirts with a 50" chest, don't go much over 20" in the shoulder, if any. In reality, I just don't need another denim shirt, lol

Word. I'm torn too.
Edit: Actually after measuring my XL duck CPO-100, the measurements are nearly identical with shoulders at 19.5. Only difference is sleeves being a bit longer on the 178. The extra thick material warrants the extra in the shoulders as I could actually use more in the shoulders. My shoulders aren't that broad. The smaller Selfedge measurements appear more accurate. I would def go with a XXL.

129 ordered. Really considered the 633S OD but looked at the stacks of unworn jeans in my closet and just couldn't justify it, even with a discount

I was browsing there this morning, and even though it was a sale, your still paying a pretty penny for it, and I have much gear that isn't even close to being worn out, and really don't have any extra closet space, and my wife ain't giving any of hers up. I have no doubt there will be something that comes up to spend money on. I just had to drop 2,500 bones on a new chimney for my house, as the original sandstone in the old one had given up the ghost, and didn't want to start dealing with water damage. Like Roseanne Roseannadana used to say, "if it ain't one thing, it another".

I tried telling myself that I could defray the cost of the 633s od by selling stuff on ebay, which I could do, but it was more about whether or not the jeans would see any wear. I didn't want to make an impulse purchase on denim when I have plenty of others. The 129 though was purchased because there were 2 left in my size, and it'll get worn this winter along with my other flannels. Now I just need to get the green 129

I also noticed Giles sizes down on the 129 as did a few forum members.

The medium has a 43.5" chest so didnt want to chance it

Blue-129 is such a favorite colorway, that'll only get better with washes. Nice score guys

disheveledIs your 129 closer to IH's fit chart or SE's?

I'm done with any jean purchases...unless it's the mighty 888. Might only get the 192 as once that's gone it's gone. I grow more ambivalent though every time I look at it. It is unique haha but damn the IH ombre is brilliant.

disheveledIs your 129 closer to IH's fit chart or SE's? My Medium 129s are very fitted in the chest and shoulders, but the large was too billowy in the body for me. A hot wash and medium dry heat might have done the trick in a large, idk? My Medium blue 129's #: Shoulder: 17" P2P: 21.75 Waist: 20.75 Hem: 22 (^^gusset 2 gusset)

Looks like it's on par with SE's chart. IHUK's chart has the large at a 22.5" p2p but SE's is at 22.75". If I can squeeze at least .5" of shrink out of the chest I should be fine. I could probably get away with a medium but if it shrunk up any smaller in the chest I might be screwed.
