Someone just needs to type something that gets everyone's knickers in a twist to liven the place up. You're just the man for this job. I'm starting to second guess all this High quality clothing. I just came from Marshalls and bought a very nice wool CPO shirt/Jacket for $40. Something that would cost $200+ on line. Did you just steal Gustin marketing code? Full circle, this place.

I don't get the Ironheart hype at all. Yinz can have it, n'at. If that isn't enough, I don't like Ciano Farmer Aggressive tapers on jeans does not look good on dudes heavy jeans over 16 ounces is just silly and we should all admit that. It is like climbing a mountain...no real reason to do it other than to do it. buttoning a top button on a shirt without wearing a tie is gross...on the other hand, I doubt any of you do that. It needs to stop. Hey, tomorrow I go to Hiroshima. One of the side trips is Okunoshima (rabbit island). I am bringing the Rex mask and hop to get some good pictures. I mean..."HOPE to get some good pictures!" LOL! "HOP" RABBIT! GET IT? whatever. Unbotton that top button and quit suffering for your sick fades. Or do it. I don't care how you live your life.

To me, all that extra fabric of a strait cut around your sneakers/boots looks odd. A Slim (not the carrot cut) is fine. And when you get into the 36" sizes the slim looks almost like a strait. And Yes I do appreciate buttoning my top button on my work shirts. When it's 0 degrees and you don't want a bunch of layers because you need to move freely, buttoning up keeps a bunch of heat in.

Now that I think of it, when I bought my oni jeans, I thought I had found my dream jeans. They were slubby and wild and I bought them from Hinoya in Ueno and the "Straight" cut really was straight from the knee down...or at least that is why I felt so weird wearing them for a while. I was looking in the full length mirror thinking, "this is what you wanted...why don't you like it?" It was a weird time. I can see a valid reason for most brands to put a slight taper on their "straight" cuts. After a while, I got used to the oni straight cut and find it is helpful in the subtropical summers. There is a little more room for air flow. and for too much info, I helped a buddy move into a third story apartment in my Onis...it was so gross out. I hung them up to dry and when they dried, they were definitely crunchy from all the sweat. Gross, man. And I hope that is weird enough for yous guys for a while. I go back to my cave now.

at some point, it is just fabric and thread. I don't get the Ironheart hype at all. Yinz can have it, n'at. you make a valid point, however, I could make the same argument using a car analogy. A car is just metal, rubber and plastic and will get you where you need to go but not every car is created equal. Some are good runners and will last forever with proper maintenance, while others will fall apart and under perform over time. Same goes for clothing. I get it. Paying a ton of $ for a shirt or pair of jeans is a bitter pill to swallow when you expect value. But value is such a subjective term when applied to anything we buy. I think there is value in spending more for something if that item will last you for many years and has a relatively decent resale value. At the end of the day, if you like something for whatever reason, be it the fabric, limited availability or the construction details then those are the things you're paying for. By extension, PBJ is hyped quite a bit because of their slubby denim but I don't own any of their jeans because their fits are absolutely wonky.

i'm so torn with the SE sale. on the one hand, i've been saving my pennies for the 193 that's dropping at the end of the month. however, the 129 has been on my wishlist for awhile. I'm inclined to go with the 129 since stock is really low in my size. Giles said they're producing loads of the 193 so I should be safe if I put it on the backburner.

That's a hard call due to how well the 170 sold though. Only 2 left of that one on SE. I imagine the 193 will sell maybe slightly less fast, but that's a guess.

I'm thinking I should be safe on the 193 though because I believe Giles said they're making a buttload, which i'm guessing is due to the success of the 170. they could very well sell out on the IHUK site but SE is pretty good about carrying decent stock (like with the 192 as an example).

I'm in a similar situation...I'm torn between getting a blue 129 or the 14oz OD type III from the SE sale. I think you're logic is right on though. I'd get the 129 and put the 193 on the backburner.
