"But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood" Nina Simone already said it better than I, perhaps a little misunderstanding could be applied to everyone involved. If you truly want to "put an end to this farce" perhaps you can steer the narrative in a new direction. Like, so what 'other' pair of jeans did you get and discuss why you picked them? Hehe, love Nina Simone To be totally honest i havent pushed the button yet, but a pair of Sugar Cane 2009 waiting in the shopping cart. The only reason is i need a new lightweight pair for the summer. Whats your pick when it comes to denim about 12ish Oz?

I've had a pair that I casually wore for about 18 months now, and I recently gave them their first machine wash. They are now my most and best faded pair of jeans, and my "favorites".

I really dig this BSP-14 Overdyed Modified Type III from SE. Agreed. That thing looks great. Modified fit too with added length.

888 cut comes out in August. Looking forward to the final measurements on this new cut. It's only being made in the 21oz for the first run. 888 cut should be good for those looking for room in the thighs but a smaller hem than the 634 (straight fit).

You see the sample pic in the supertalk IH forum? Hard to gather anything from it. My next cut will be the 888 or the 777. I have to sell my 634 ODs and brand new (from Xmas sale) 666ds. Too baggy for me...and this was my fault for not paying more attention to their measurements . The 666ds are pretty great too (need to trade for smaller size as they're an essential piece in my book). IH measurement dissemination is the gold standard in my experience...say what you will for price, etc. CS is pretty awesome. Edit: 888 will likely fit like a Gustin straight...pretty great in my book haha.

Depends on the fit you want of course. I have smaller legs so it fits perfect.

I've seen the fit pics and measurements of the sample pair of 888's in the IHUK forum which I believe is a tag size 36. Agree with yinzer that the 777 and 888 cuts are quite different.

I'm bummed they aren't making UHR in the 777. These 25oz'ers are fantastic, but apparently so is the UHR.

Ickes, how's the vintage denim coming along??
That's another I would like to get at some point and which doesn't seem to get many mentions.

They are retired for the summer, the weather here is ridiculous already, 115-120 lately. Love the denim and I have to say that overall it's my favorite IH pair at the moment. I definitely recommend them. I feel like I say it a lot but the shade is just a very nice Indigo that sticks out from the rest of the darker...more navy looking Indigos. When they are hanging in my closet next to all my other pairs they stick out immediately because of their lighter more vintage looking blue. They fade nicely and are also very breathable for 18oz.

The lighter shade was the huge drawing point for me. I hope they make it in a 777! What kind of stretch have you seen so far/if any??

I honestly haven't paid much attention but I'd say I really haven't gotten too much stretch at all. Keep in mind though I buy my jeans to fit me comfortably loose in the waist right out of the bag so there is not much stretching needed in the waist, if at all, and these fit damn near perfect for me in the waist out of the bag. They are a loose weave denim though so I would say an 1" is very easily attainable.

Also, the 14oz denim is another one that is underrated and doesn't get much talk. They are my summer pair and it's another fantastic fabric and also at a fairly decent price.
In all honestly every jean fabric I own from Iron Heart is a great fabric in it's own way. I can honestly say that there isn't one that I don't like. It just seems that some get talked about more than others and the 14oz and 18oz Vintage definitely don't get the attention they deserve.

If I didn't already own a ton of jeans i'd splurge on a pair of IH denim...either the 633 od or 777 od's. One of the downsides to our hobby is that our clothes last awhile. I'm about 2 yrs in on a couple of other pairs of jeans and they still have a ton of life left in them. So, i'm gonna save my pennies for some of the new upcoming drops. I should purge my closet though and get rid of some stuff

Fit Guide for the new 888 cut No way I could make those work. Would look like mc hammer pants on me. But I think they are making a special denim work championship with the UHR is that cut as well by the end of the year.

Hmm. I was just interested in something different from the 666. The 634 so far doesn't work for me unless I size down. Was hoping the 888 was more like a 3sixteen straight which I think is pretty close to perfect; measurements are actually pretty close besides the big rear rise and larger thigh. Could be sweet.

This goes against a lot of other people's views now on this subject, and many don't like it... But I'm still a fan of sizing down and stretching new pants. Don't be afraid of sizing down on the standard 21oz fabric to get other areas measurements closer to what you actually want. The waist will stretch 1-1.5 inches quite easily.
