On another note, Giles says they're working on some chambrays!!! Well, I have asked Tom san to source some chambrays for me and send me swatches. I have said that I don't need original IH fabric (the minimums for a chambray run are eye-wateringly large), so it depends what she can find that we think appropriate. If that's working on them, then yes we are....

Not a collab, per se... Just not IH exclusive fabrics, meaning "If the mills have something in stock that we like, we'll grab some and use it"

Yes but if this forum casts a vote on the swatches it will be kindof collaboration beween IH and Selvedgestyle

Well I'm not saying it's this but we are overdue for a forum piece.
I like my CF's from last time.

Are you a sailor? Is one leg much longer than the other? Do you like to ride escalators sideways with your feet on different steps? Do you like Gustin shirts?

I don't own this shirt, but those who do say the skew isn't all that noticable. I do own the 170 which is the same fabric in a workshirt with a different colorway. The fabric is really great. That being said, if I'm spending $310 on a shirt I don't want known flaws at the time of purchase. True, you could argue the skew is not a defect, just part of the weaving process, but then why get rid of the skew when they made the 170? After it had been released a few months, IHUK had been selling this for around $200 IIFC, which I think is probably appropriate. Not to treat the brand too preciously, but IH shirts are pretty cool and I'd want my first one to be perfect. If I had 10 of them I might feel differently. I'd say get the purple ombre, or wait for the 170 workshirt to be released this fall but that's just me. I do know how you get a shirt stuck in your head though.

I have yet to pop my IH cherry and thought it was going to possibly be the purple ombre Western.........but I can't get this shirt out of my head. this is still one of my favorite and most worn IH pieces and I have every intention of picking up the blue one as well. We can sit here and analyze and nitpick shirts all day if things aren't lined up to laser precision but at the end of the day in the "real world" nobody notices a damn thing. I was very hesitant because of the skew but I picked this one up last year and really, it's hardly noticeable when you're out and about. As a matter of fact I get quite a few compliments on this shirt. It ages very nicely too as the Indigo starts to fade.

Good to know that I'm not the only one who gets shirts stuck in their head, and yeah, something about these colors just screams great pattern in my head. I'm trying to restrict purchases to shirt patterns that I really like. That being said, if this was available for $200 still on IHUK I'd have already bought it.

The skew doesn't bother me either. I'd like to pick up both colorways at SE eventually but I might opt for the new Western that IH is releasing in the fall

I will second on getting the purple ombré. The ombré pattern is such a nice and rich color in person. I may pick up the western in it someday (I currently have the work shirt one).

I like my green one but love the blue one better. Im happy I got both. My green is totally over the top scewed and I am a little pissed about it, its much worse then the blue but at the same time I wouldnt wanna be without the shirt, its a great goto piece that fits many occasions. (occations without bentin that is, he is not invited bc bentin)

Giles Kanreki (60th Bday) shirt Giles turns 60 in September so they are making a shirt to release that day. Red is the color associated with the Kanreki 8oz Flannel, Half Western (like the IHSH-13)

you'd likely get some shrinkage in the dryer. I think 'no shrinkage' might apply to hang drying

Picked up the 12oz Olive Whipcord workpants in the 816 cut a few weeks ago. Effin fantastic pair of pants. Great option when you dont want to wear Khakis or jeans. I had no idea what whipcord was before I got these but its a fantastic fabric. I'll be picking up the grey version of these this fall/winter. I'll probably get them hemmed but other than that the fit is great. 816 cut works really well for me.

Ickes do they feel like dickies or more like duck or? I honestly don't know what whipcord is or what it feels like. Definitely more like duck but still different. Think duck but with more of a luxurious feel with a hint of almost a velvet touch??? Softer...very comfortable but still rugged. Hard to explain it's a very nice fabric I'm more than pleased with it.
