Anybody snag the 96-indigo waffle shirt? More I look at it the more I like it. The contrast stitching on the OD33 is unlike the other newer jeans which makes me wince. I'll throw up some pics. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Edit: Snagged; the shirt is a classic. How did I miss this?

Kiya confirmed that 633-OD 14ozers will be released late fall! Thanks for thw intel, ickes No probs, and that's good news. How is the 18oz fabric on your OD's as far as breathability? I initially thought the 18oz fabric used for those was the new vintage 18oz that I have but I was later informed by Kiya that's it's their older 18oz fabric...which looks awesome btw. Are they pretty warm or are they a more breathable loose weave?

And my limited denim experience, makes me a poor choice for fabric critique, besides aesthetics --even that's questionable, lol that being said, the break in period felt non existent and they're comfy from the get go. Thick, not crispy, and holds its folds and stacks well after being taken off...

So if I'm on Rakuten RB and it says paypal okay, I just buy it and PayPal the USD correct, or is there some conversion I need to do to JPY?
Sounds like the time is now!

Is counterfeit IH something I should worry about on Rakuten? The description in this link seems fishy, "Iron Heart Type?" global.rakuten.com/en/store/auc-rodeo/item/ihsh-127/If this is a good link, does anyone know if this shirt is aspero or how one would tell?

Rodeo Bros has been used by many members of this forum. No need to worry about counterfeit goods there. You will get the real deal. The IHSH-127 is made from Aspero cotton.

It's the UHF so is aspero. Wait for the second email that will include the shipping total along with the shirt, it should have a PayPal link with it. Just ordered off them last night, and the language thing can be frustrating but Rodeo Bros. has a good reputation. Which color did you decide on?

Thick, not crispy, and holds its folds and stacks well after being taken off... That's one thing about IH denim fabrics that set them apart form everyone else. They have a softness to them while still being rugged and holding their shape well. Even the crispy 18oz vintage fabric still feels soft at the same time. I brought it up in the IH forum and all Giles said was "we do something pretty sexy with the weft" ...so not exactly sure what that means but he left it at that.

As others have said RB is completely legit. I have ordered from them numerous times. There is an issue with counterfeit IH gear but not from authorized vendors/Rakuten. It's in the second hand market where you have to be careful. There is a thread in the IHUK forum dedicated to counterfeits.

I'd be in for the western. IH should just do a pre-order where customers pay upfront to gauge interest. I get that they want low inventory but if the 170 sold out so fast then they should double the order The downside to the pre-orders is that it turns into a logistical nightmare. Giles explained that they tried it with some jeans once and they ended up making about double the amount of jeans because of the pre-order idea. What it basically boils down to is sizing and figuring out how many of each size to make. Customers would place their pre-order for one size but then once the fit guides were live they would change their size based on the measurements. The 170 is a decent example because a lot of guys actually sized up one from their normal size once they saw the fit guide. You've just hit on all the issues with a format like Gustin. Even IH who has an experienced sewing group can't hit a fit guide right on from that direction.

Rodeo Bros is first class. I ordered yesterday morning, and got my confirmation e-mail by the same evening. Heading across the ocean as I write this.

Yea i meant actual size. The 162 in XXL could work as a shirt jacket for me and if it does shrink a little it would be more fitted on me. The XL would have been perfect.
I got two weeks to decide on adding it to train conductor one. Debating if I should get the waffle shirt too but for some reason I think its going to feel like a thin linen towel that we have in our kitchen.

Should I worry about making an account on Rakuten to get reward points?
It doesn't seem to want to accept my ZIP code so it won't let me register. And the green 127 sold out in my size overnight or I was planning to snag it and the purple. F!

I was worried the purple would sell out too...so I put in an order for a purple 127, an 07 and a black 13 before anyone else could take em!
I just got an email from Rakuten and Rodeo Bros with a lot of strange gmail translation "※ In our shop, "music for tomorrow," the time specified can be selected. " lol
Looks like I wait until they package it and estimate shipping before they will send me the order total -- am I doing this right? lol

When you get the shipping pricing, respond right away to approve and it'll usually ship within a couple hours.

I haven't gotten any other emails from RB other than the initial one that says the shipping was not estimated yet -- the purple 127 is no longer available in my size on the Rakuten site...how is RB's inventory system, am I going to end up missing out on the 127 because my order hasn't been paid for yet? (pls say no!)
Any idea on how soon I can expect a follow up email from RB about the shipping amount/confirmation? It's only been 1.5 hours since I received the first email.

Remember that it's the midnight there right now, so you likely won't hear anything for seven or so hours. It's okay, they're always super quick and ship very close to when you respond to their shipping quote. Shipping usually works out to be a few dollars less than their listed price with VAT.
