And I thought you had gotten to know me over the past year....lol. I own both of course! Went with medium in the black and large in the blue, as I read--iirc--that the blue will get more shrinkage (very subtle cold wash hang dry, but more subastantial if you're looking for it). I knew it, I was going to ask if you had both

The overdye 33 was very cool as well, wish they would do that one again. OD33 sounds epic--tonal or contrast? The rerun of the 99od is high on my radar. I dont enoy the 141's high contrast stitching--its also a medium and I should have went with a large (od shrinks and its a shacket after all) It was contrast stitching but the overdye effect gave it a muted contrast look much like the 634s21oz overdye jeans. Very cool

Its tough to say which 33 i like better: the black seems more subtle (read less cowboy) because the contrast stitching doesnt show up as much against the fabric's color, but the indigo just screams, 'classic'!

I finally joined the IH gang! Grabbed a nice pre-owned IHSH-142! Now I'm eyeing an IHSH-07 I'm thinking of springing for the 12oz super black CPO new Anyone have experience with these beauties? Congrats on the 142. That shirt rocks--tonal stitching tones down the western look. I sized up in my 142 to my UHF size Large. In both my 07 and my 85 (cash super black) I wear size Medium, so be aware of your measurements. My 07 doesn't get the wear time my 123 gets--its less locomotive osh-kosh loud, more blue/less white, while still giving you the stripes. Somethings to consider anyway. I went with XXXL on the 142. I realize all fits/bodies are different but fwiw I am 6'3'' and a decently well proportioned 225 that shouldn't change a whole lot size wise anytime soon. (slight gut/dad bod but I do run about twice a week and work out so I am not out of shape -- always been a bigger dude and I was raised by a southern woman so I know how to eat) I typically buy a 17.5-18/37 slim fit dress shirt -- I recently backed some Gustin workshirts in classic XXL. My usually complaints with a shirt are: I cannot easily button the neck (TS Mechanic in 46 I have this issue) and sleeves shrink to become slightly too short after a wash. I see the IHSH-07 has a different fit guide and comes in larger/longer sleeves. The 07 I am eyeing is XXL pre-owned and has been washed/dried once. I realize everyone is different but does anyone have any suggestions/feedback on if I should go down to XXL on the 07, or stay at XXXL? I also highly recommend ihsh-33 (they have nailed the denim western aesthetics in every respect--esp the pockets/flaps.

madmosesIf you have your hands on the 142, then measure that one yourself and compare to IHUK's numbers, that'll help you triangulate the washed 07's #s (assuming the seller will provide) to IHUK's numbers. Each IH shirt gets its own fit guide per IHUK, combine that with the forum's first hand knowledge about shrinkage and you can order with out a return policy with decent confidence. Also different fabrics repsond to the same measurements differently: 22 pit to pit in UHF compared to their 12oz denim will skew the numbers--or more to the point, cut and sewn pieces to woven are incomparable.

The sleeves are a tad longer than my other IH shirts, but about the same as my IHSH 130 flannel. Makes it a go to shirt while riding the motorcycle. With your size, I'd go with the XXXL. One good thing with IH, in that they won't shrink if you cold wash, and hang dry, but if you need it to, you can pull a little bit of shrinkage with using heat when you launder.

There is a lot of IH gear represented here, and a great source of information for future purchases. The IHUK forum is a good place to check out if you haven't done so.

You guys chatting up all this overdyed stuff in the self edge thread made me start perusing...I think I may be leaning OD over the super black for a shirt? does anyone know of any good wear in photos of the overdye or how long it takes to fade from being mostly black -- and am I going to be crocking all over the place with overdye or is it a slow process?

madmoses, I have zero evo experience with OD. My only other item is the 141, which has zero wear time

The OD actually starts to show signs of fading fairly quick IMO. I have the 21oz OD and I maybe wore them once or twice a week during the fall/winter of 2015 and they are starting to show some signs already. Nothing drastic but noticeable. Unfortunately I've outgrown them...which reminds me I need to put them up for sale. I don't remember them crocking all over the place though.

Your WAYWT today was awesome - dark green/olive is my absolute favorite wardrobe color....and even though I have way too many green jacket/shacket options already -- what's your green IH there? And are you a part-time clothing photographer? Like dude, you stage that stuff well!

No, I'm an enthusiast with a newly found passion, that's trying to follow the prize. Let the lighting carry the bulk of the burden (read: indirect, natural light) and a modern camera phone and your gut do the rest. To be honest, I need to look into the subject more...

I had a 33od and the shirt was really nice, just too big for me so sold it. The OD fade is pretty dang cool, if you can make it work. Still trying to track down one of the 99s shirts, almost picked up a few years ago from self edge, but their fit guide threw me off. www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5957.420 show some serious fades.

Really hoping to score the 157. Like Ickes said it is a flannel on a whole...nother...level.
Personally I think I will really dig the longer sleeves on this cut...I see limited talk on the IH forum on this besides one guy saying it's softer than his other UHF or something -- is it thicker or heavier since it's a CPO rather than the standard shirt, does anyone know? I live in a colder weather place so anything to help me justify some IH purchases more is fine by me.
I'm hoping I fall in love because I also want a "return of the purps"/ombré or whatever -- and a green buffalo uhf.
