So I just can't make up my mind... That's where you/the community comes in. I've got one more "Need" for a pair of daily work jeans . I've narrowed it down to two pairs. Cost is about the same. Once I factor in shipping/hemming First up - www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-666s-19l.htmlLet's face it, there Iron Hearts (money aside) you can't go wrong (from what I'm told ). Next - www.railcarfinegoods.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RJSPIKESX016So why RailCar you ask? American made Through and Through, life time repair, NO drama mom and pop shop! I'm just not to thrilled with the Denim, yes its Cone (everyone is doing Come these days). So What Say You???

I had an awful experience at RCFG.
I'll buy a pair of Target jeans before giving money to Rail Car.

Imo, the way they run the business is very unprofessional. It's more like a hobby to them, than a business.
Basically, you get what they give you. Do not complain, or they will kick you out.

This will probably go slightly against the general grain here... but I own the IH-666 and Railcar Spikes X009 and if I was forced (and it'd have to be at gun point) to choose between them I would go with the Railcar. The fit works marginally better on me and - *unquantifiable parameter alert* - they just feel sexier to wear. But it really depends what you're after. IH are tougher and more 'to the point', whereas the RCs are (believe it or not) slightly better constructed and have a finesse that betters the IH. If you're not so keen on overt branding, Railcar wins out as there's no rear pocket embellishment but you do get all the same nice touches as with IH - and, actually, I prefer the exterior use of selvedge on the fly rather than the interior use by IH. However, and this is a big one, this advice only stands if you go for a really great denim from RC. While I would trust their judgement regarding the denim they use, personally, I wouldn't bother with any Cone denim. If you're keen to buy immediately, these would be my choice from them right now: www.railcarfinegoods.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RMJSPIKESX020

I prefer to buy from a (professional) hobby, the guys usually have more of an interest in what they're dealing with them some business guy that just wants to make money

julian thanks again! Yeah, I agree, the Cone just doesn't do much for me. But I want this pair to be in the 16-20oz range.

Mine are 16.5oz and I love them so, yeah, it's worth holding out for when they offer another Japanese denim in that weight range. Which, of course, means you should buy some 666s in the meantime...

Neither? None of the above. Really? What would your suggestion(s) be instead of the above?
