I went with the skinny cut on the Pink IDs that I should be getting within a week or so, since its a lighter weight denim. I'll you know how far off the 30 skinny is from my 30 slims. I'm torn. There's a pair of the Zimb Lights on eBay right now in a 33 skinny but I usually wear a 33 slim. I've been looking for a pair of these for a while but I don't know if I should pull the trigger on them or not. You're looking at a lighter weight denim in skinny? Well I might be able to help. I just got some 9oz Pink IDs in 30 skinny in the mail today. Made a Skinny Fit Thread. Your ModsHere's how they fit on me. Now I consider myself to be quite slender, been kind of a "bean pole" my whole life. These fit pretty durn snug. Tight in the thighs, tight in the calves. I've never tried a true skinny jean before but this pretty much is it. I'm comfortable enough with my sexuality to try it out and see what kind of looks I get. I kind of like the look myself. Now in the New Drops thread, bozer said his kind of look like jeggings, and wanted to try a heavier weight denim in skinny. I'm going to go out on a limb and say a heavier skinny fit is going to HURT to break in. My HAs in 30 slim hurt the first couple of days, but you could size up. Here are those for fit comparison. Maybe someone could start a skinny vs slim fit discussion. I don't know how many of us have tried both, or if said discussion already happened.

Thanks Bennyrum. I've never worn skinny before either, so I thought I'd try them. Mine fit just like yours. What I don't like is that it gives you camel toe/moose knuckle. I also don't like that you can see the outline of the front pockets due to the denim being so light. They are really tight around the thighs and they don't look very flattering from the thighs up. By all means if you like them, rock on, they just feel like I may easily tear through them like the Hulk if I wear them. Gustin is awesome and said they will try to find me a pair in 33slim, because I really like the color and material. I'm going to send mine back this weekend.

I can see some loose areas with slim especially the lower hip area. On the other hand, top block of the skinny is pretty tight. It is a bit hard to tell which one fits your better.

Way way too tight. Honestly just looking waist down they look like chick jeans.

Can't speak from personal experiance but from pictures posted from other users. Looks like it's 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb bag.

This is timely since I was trying to talk myself into those Olive Green 33 Skinny's in the Stock Store earlier...I love the slim fit and have the build for it, but the skinny fit might be a bridge too far even for me.

Yeah, the skinny fit is definitely not for me.

Thanks for posting pics, I've been tempted to jump on some 29 skinnys while I twiddle my thumbs waiting for my lawless orders because gustin's 29 slims don't really fit all that slim on me. Does the taper go all the way to the leg opening? I'm a 28ish inseam, so after hemming I'm wondering how much taper I'd lose out on

The taper is very aggressive from thigh to knee, and basically straightens out from just below the knee down, so you won't miss much with any hemming. Their fit guide on 30 skinny goes from 14.1 at the knee to 13.75 at the cuff; not much difference there, and even less on the 29.

29 skinny damn you have one hell of a metabolism. My bicep couldn't fit in the calf of those jeans.

C'mon brahs. If you don't wear skinny denim, then you shouldn't be commenting here, let alone making negative comments about the fit.

People should wear what they like and I don't have any problem with skinny jeans. My Jeaneez post was just funny to me. If anything they are just something that some are making fun of these says as many times they are being worn in a more effeminate manner than say the skinny jeans of 80's thrash metal. Tight jeans have always been around with musicians back to Robert Plant in Led Zeppelin. I wore black tight jeans playing in bands in the 80's-90's. One of the things about tight jeans is you have to be in shape or at least not overweight. Don't let anyone be discouraged about wearing what makes you feel good. Metallica in skinny except the late Cliff Burton rocking the 70's flares, denim jacket and I see some flannel

Lars Ulrich sure is giving it everything he's got to look like a hard man there. A truly herculean effort, matched only by the degree to which it is just. not. happening.

Both nater and bennyrum were posting asking on thoughts for the skinny fit. Benny posted photos asking for comments etc. So we have commented. In my opinion the look horrible on him and a slim would probably be better. They look painted on and constricting. It's a public forum people will make comments.

If a guy is built for it, the skinny would be a good fit. However, having muscular thighs or calfs will render these far too tight.

bennyrum - Can you tell me if the Italy Pink ID fabric has any stretch to it? Does it feel like it has some elasticity in it?

It's all in good fun, no harm, no foul. The lady-friend says no as well. I'll give it another shot in warmer weather and decide if I want to pass them on. I definitely like the slim fit more.
And yes, the Pink ID fabric has quite a bit of give to it. They might look tight and constricting, but they're quite comfortable because of the stretch.

That's funny because Ciano Farmer is currently offering a fabric that looks identical to the Italy Pink ID - it's the same weight as well, I believe. On CF's website it says that the fabric is 98% cotton, 2% elastin and it does stretch (they sent me a fabric swatch). I emailed Gustin to ask them if their Italy Pink ID had any elastin in it and Cody wrote back saying that it was 100% cotton with no elastin.

I don't think they are elastic at all. Just a really soft cotton. Really nice color unlike any jeans I've ever had. Sent mine back because of the skinny fit moos knuckle but hoping they'll send me them in slim. IMO they would look great with a nice pair of sneakers this summer.

First post:
I was indecisive between skinny and slim. I had one pair of slims which were slightly too baggy until I shrunk them, after which, they fit perfect. I had actually ordered another pair of slims and cancelled the order (before shrinking the ones i currently owned.) Promptly I ordered another pair, in skinny with my credit and they arrived today.
Fit is terrible. I can barely walk in them. Absolutely hate them. I have thick muscular legs and I can barely get these on, tight in the waist, can hardly lift my knee, totally restricts my movement. You would have to be very skinny to wear these, the jeans basically bind on my thighs and can't come up where they are supposed to be on my butt. FYI I am 6' 165lbs (relatively slim, but endomorph body type)
Since I couldn't find any information regarding the fit when i ordered around Christmas, I am sharing my experience for someone else in the same circumstances.
I've heard Gustin is good about returns....
To be fair, they are very well constructed and the denim is very nice. The line's across the back pockets are kind of sloppily sewed, but overall i'd be happy with the jean for the price I paid, if they fit better. (Black 2.1's)
