I came across this company via Style Forum and thought there might be interest in some of what they offer. They now have a section of goods made with Horween leather: www.nstarleather.com/optimizer/category/Horween.html#.VNIS0iwgIdUTo be clear, I have no affiliation with this company. My understanding is that NS Leather buys their Horween leather in bulk scrap from places like Alden, so this is why his prices are very competitive. I'm very tempted by the Horween leather ID wallet in natural CXL.

Just took delivery of my navy Horween CXL card holder from Northstar Leather and I have to say, given the price I paid this is a very nice wallet. The construction is solid and you can see how the navy CXL will eventually start showing a patina once I get it broken in. Compared to my Mitchell money clip wallet the Northstar Leather wallet uses a thicker Horween CXL, which incidentally, he procured from Alden (this is apparently the same CXL Alden uses for their CXL shoe makeups. Makes you wonder how much Horween leather goes to waste if someone didn't come along and buy it up to recycle/reuse. FYI, I paid $40 + $7.99 shipping which is a steal. I also know that he only had a very small amount of navy CXL on hand so mine is one of a kind. He does have russet red/brown, regular brown and natural CXL for those of you that might be interested.
